🚨 OpenAI is exploring the possibility of building humanoid robots. Although it's not their top priority right now, OpenAI’s new AI models, o3 and o3-mini, are showing big improvements in what AI can do, and they’re currently being tested. Also, Nvidia is teaming up with Figure AI to push robotics forward, and Tesla’s already working on its own humanoid robot, Optimus. With the humanoid robotics market expected to grow to $66 billion by 2032, we could soon see robots playing a big role in our daily lives. Exciting times ahead! AI driven robotics to replace humans in repetitive and/or dangerous workplaces? Figure, Boston Dynamics, Tesla are all spending very large sums of money, creating autonomous operating robots, that can speak real time at the human interface. This is offering an amazing opportunity to offset the lack of human labour in developed country markets AND enable re-shoring industries that could produce products at costs below current sources. Plus, it removes the need for long, narrow, risky supply chains in large measure. This could improve self sufficiency and correct GDP/balance of payments. Early days but what a prize. Where is the UK investment in all this? What is happening to commercialise such a revolutionary opportunity for the nation? Are we on board with this turn of an industrial revolution of are we going to let someone else do it and be subservient to buying from ‘them’? What long term price for the application of serious risk capital? https://lnkd.in/eBpHbnef #robotics #AI #industrialrevolution #labourshortage #riskcapital #innovation
