Exterior stucco and painting continue for the North and South Towers. • Residences: Drywall finishing is in process on the 23rd floor of the North and South Towers. Kitchen and bathroom cabinet installation continues in the North and South Towers. Tile installation is progressing for the bathrooms. Flooring is installed through the 16th floor of the North Tower and 15th floor of the South Tower. • Outdoor Amenity Deck: Waterproofing continues throughout the entire one-acre deck. Preparation is on-going for installation of the resort pool. Concrete walkways are in progress. • North Tower Rooftop Deck: Tile is being installed in the pool. Waterproofing is nearing completion. Paver installation is in process. Let’s take a closer look at the features and considerations of balconies. 🔎 Having a balcony can be a great asset to any flat, providing outdoor space and fresh air. However, they can also be sources of cold and dampness if not properly maintained. 🛠️ There are two types of balconies that can be found in tenement buildings: inset and cantilevered. Overcladding systems often avoid inset balcony areas, so the walls behind them will be cold and liable to condensation. This is known as ‘cold bridging’. 🥶 Cantilevered balconies project slightly from the building. The concrete floors are reinforced by steel that may rust and crack the concrete, so they should be checked regularly by a structural engineer. 👷♀️ It’s also important to ensure balustrades and handrails are galvanised and well-painted to prevent rusting. Glazing balconies can make them more versatile and significantly reduce heat loss, transforming them into a sunspace. Terrace construction We can build terraces anywhere according to the wishes and needs of the customer and it does not require a building permit. Similarly to residential buildings, the most important aspect of building a terrace is constructing a solid foundation. The appearance, stability and service life of the terrace largely depend on the foundation. All our terraces have a proper foundation, and you can easily, for instance, build a conservatory on them. Besides the location and dimensions, the customer can choose between many other details when building a terrace. The price of a terrace is affected by the following: foundation – post foundation, pile foundation, strip foundation, slab foundation, base battens – the selection includes impregnated pine, WPC, aluminium and bamboo battens, terrace boards – impregnated pine, thermal wood, hot oil treated boards, larch, WPC, bamboo, etc., board fastening method – with screws from top, with hidden screws from the side, with brackets, for bamboo boards, seals which can be mounted to the gaps between the boards are also available – these limit the movement of air and add exclusivity (if desired, these can be used inside conservatories).

Construction Update Video 🎥
📍2 Great George Street, Leeds. Progress update at our Leeds city centre project. The Steel frame to create the new top floors is now complete along with the concrete metal decking, the lift shaft is nearing completion and the block work is going up on the outside walls. The fourth floor fire compartmentation is up to the ceiling and the party wall are in. the 1st fix is also ongoing and is around 30% complete. On the third floor the 1st fix and plastering are ongoing. The second floor duplex apartments are at all different stages with decorating, first fix plaster and 2nd fix joinery ongoing. The first floor is due for completion by the end of January with just the kitchens being fitted and decorating works ongoing. On the ground floor the show office is nearing completion and we cannot wait to show you the finished office.
