Beyond Sustenance: Meet Organic Soul In the bustling heart of our community, a group called Organic Soul thrives. A beacon of compassion and resilience. Their journey commenced with a resolute purpose: to harness their skills and bridge the gap for those facing food poverty. They support the homeless with hot meals, clothing, and sleeping bags – more than sustenance, it’s a lifeline. But their reach extends further. During periods of hardship, families receive weekly food hampers to help when people may need to choose between heating their home and feeding their family. Refugees and asylum seekers also find solace at Organic Soul. While they may grapple with isolation and uncertainty, they receive not only nourishment but also a sense of belonging. This is why donations and acts of kindness are so important. It’s as simple as attending a comedy night or maybe purchasing a tombola ticket. But, you help to sustain a network of communities with unique backgrounds and vibrant stories.

Homeless support in Britain poem In Britain's streets, where hope seems far, A helping hand is not too far. For those without a place to stay, There's support to light the way. Dial Streetlink on your phone, Let them know you're not alone. Local councils lend an ear, To find you shelter, draw you near. Charities stand ready to aid, With food and warmth, don't be afraid. Citizen's Advice can guide your path, To benefits and legal aftermath. Day centers offer respite's peace, A chance to rest, find brief release. Hostels provide a temporary bed, A roof above your weary head. Remember, you have rights to claim, Regardless of your current shame. Seek medical care when in need, Your health and wellbeing to heed. The journey's hard, but don't lose heart, Each step you take is a new start. Reach out for help, it's there for you, In Britain's net of support so true. written by BNT psuk https://lnkd.in/eyWis-E9

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀, 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿... Thousands of people—of all walks of life—have lost their homes in the past week in Los Angeles, CA, and with the Santa Ana Winds picking up again, even more are at risk. Amid the devastation, there have been incredible acts of kindness: strangers opening their homes, Hollywood stars donating millions, volunteers working tirelessly in shelters and distribution centers, and countless others giving whatever they can to help. But heartbreakingly, there’s also been judgment. Some have criticized families for starting GoFundMe campaigns. Others have shamed those offering refuge to evacuees in other states. It’s easy to forget that these families—regardless of wealth or status—have lost everything. Many had their entire lives invested in their homes, and now, they’re starting over with nothing. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗽. It’s not the time for division. I recently came across an incredible LinkedIn article sharing resources for those affected by the fires, and I’m resharing it here: https://lnkd.in/eShy7SSM . If you know of additional resources, please drop them in the comments. Let’s come together, share what we can, and create a community of help. ❤️ #DisasterRelief #CommunityMatters #HelpingHands #WildfireRecovery
