This could be a good one... We are having conversations with our care providers to see if this home could be reconfigured into 2 flats. As always, we follow a tenant-led approach at Holmes and Bailey.  The main issue with this house is the roof; there has been a big leak which has caused severe damp issues. A problem that can be fixed, however. Before you know it, this house will be modern, clean and safe for someone to move in and start living in. Things to note: - Damp in the living room to be fixed. - Electrics have already been upgraded but the rest of the house doesn't match this level. That's why we're here to turn it around! - Need to test whether the house needs rewiring or simply add more sockets where required. This is just one of many homes we have invested in over the last 2 weeks. We take them from their unloved state and renovate them to be fully compliant and safe for our tenants to live in. #socialhousing #renovate #renovation

The properties I believe, are being built to a very high standard, with a lot of the latest technologies and specifications. Our cost comparisons of grab rail, stairlift and wet room adaptations, for Accessible Homes Week, show that people living in an M4(1) visitable dwelling who may need to make such adaptations could be almost £27,000 worse off compared to those in an accessible and adaptable M4(2) home. If someone needs a stairlift, it can cost between £9,000 - £10,000 to install one in an M4(1) home, depending on the design of the stairs. An M4(1) property is likely to have steeper and narrower or curved staircase.   Whereas the cost of fitting a stairlift in an accessible and adaptable home would average between £2,500 to £4,000. This shows that building new homes to the M4(2) accessible and adaptable standards makes financial sense.
