There is a really great episode of Lenny Rachitsky's podcast with Adriel Frederick where he talks about the value of his experience as a minority in product development at Facebook, Reddit etc... He has a quote that really stuck with me that specifically relates to this 👉 "Techno-utopians want to feed all data to the algorithm give it an objective and it will do the right thing and I was like the reason that falls down is the algorithms don't understand a long-term effects often nor do they understand how people might respond to it nor do they understand your intent" Thats where we are today, we have people that are making decisions and voicing their opinions about the state of Industry 4.0, and Automation and have never set foot on a 🏭 factory floor or seen what a maintenance person has to go through to maintain operations at an 🛢 Oil Field. Think of that scene in "Good Will Hunting", when Robin Williams R.I.P. is on the park bench with Matt Damon talking about what he knows vs what hes experienced. Thats why as a product manager, or a sales person mingling with your users is Critical to making real solutions for real people. These are my 🤠 people and This is my JAM!
