Peter Oosterhuis — RIP …We lost a true gentleman of the game. Player and CBS commentator extraordinaire. This photo shows (the much taller!) Peter with Jack Snyder and me at Coldwater in Arizona. While Peter and I never got to collaborate, we tried several times. I will miss his smile, insight and soft, comforting voice. Televised golf became less interesting without Peter.

NEW YORK/LONDON: CurzonAbsoluteRelo.com Yes, I know, LI should be about our/your business. Well this splendid article from Jason Gay in the WSJ (best/funniest sports writer in America) is all about "billionaires needed" and private equity joining the party. Think Man City. F1 etc. Maybe all sports are simply "businesses" heading this way? Your own business as well....? Great read! https://lnkd.in/e9zA_VjN . . #innovation #management #technology #future

Things we encounter are life lessons. The lessons that we did not expect or come from left field, are the ones that stick to us the most whether it is personal or professional. Let’s take the bull by the horns and create our own narrative. Let those life lessons build character! #BTBHR

Absolutely, you're spot on. It's crucial to check in on everyone, including those who are the quietest and the loudest. Sometimes, the quieter individuals may be silently struggling, while the more outgoing ones might also be facing challenges. By reaching out to both groups, we create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued, fostering empathy and compassion for all. ❤️ 1. **Regular Communication:** Keep in touch through calls, messages, or meetings to catch up on how they're doing. 2. **Active Listening:** Pay attention to what they say, show empathy, and offer support when needed. 3. **Offering Help:** Be proactive in offering assistance or resources if they're facing challenges or need support. 4. **Celebrating Successes:** Acknowledge their achievements and milestones to show appreciation and encouragement. 5. **Showing Interest:** Take an interest in their interests, hobbies, and passions, and engage with them on these topics. 6. **Being Reliable:** Be someone they can rely on, whether it's for advice, a listening ear, or practical assistance. 7. **Respecting Boundaries:** Respect their boundaries and preferences, and be mindful of their time and space. 8. **Remembering Important Dates:** Remember birthdays, anniversaries, or other significant dates to show that you value them. 9. **Checking In:** Regularly ask how they're doing and if there's anything you can do to support them. 10. **Expressing Gratitude:** Express gratitude for their presence in your life and the contributions they make to your network. By consistently engaging in these actions, we can foster stronger connections and create a supportive network where everyone feels valued and cared for. #MTICBIAI #MyTraumaIsChronicButIAmIconic #Communication #ListeningSkills #SupportNetwork #Successes #Interests #Reliability #BoundariesRespected #ImportantDates #CheckInRegularly #GratitudeExpressed #Connections #BritishEnglish #Spelling #Language #Networking

It’s the men who seemingly have it all that often suffer in silence the hardest. Grayson Murray was 30 years old when he died by suicide on Saturday morning. A top ranked PGA tour golfer, left the course on Friday afternoon citing illness, only to take his own life in his hotel room. He was being watched by millions on TV only that day. He was engaged, a champion golfer, with the world at his feet. Check in on your loved ones today.

🆘Any of us could lose a loved one to #death by #suicide. 🆘Societal systems, metrics, and expectations have well conditioned humans to conform & perform for social approvals and validation without encouraging self awareness, acceptance, and compassion. 🆘The more advanced AI, social media, robots, etc are getting, the more loneliness, insecurities, anxieties, depressions, burnout, and suicides rates are rapidly increasing. While checking in with our closest ones always matter, we need 1/ more collective awareness of human health's and wellbeing's determinants, including mental emotional psychological, relational, physical, nutritional, socioeconomic, 2/ to normalize and prioritize self awareness, acceptance, and compassion literacy and practices as fundamental mental, emotional, psychological hygiene. My inner circle, team and myself have experienced loneliness, insecurities, anxieties, depressions, burnout multiple times too. 💡Self aware, literate, observant + 💡fundamental mental, emotional, psychological, hygiene practices & routines+ 💡a strong support system are crucial for reducing those disorders' symptoms and prevent serious consequences. #Parents should be equipped with these skills and practices before having kids. #Kids should be equipped with these skills and practices before other knowledge. 🆘In the end, what's the value of being a top performer in any field, yet not feeling at ease with nor being the most solid support for oneself, especially in tough times? 🌏 How self aware, acceptant and compassionate you, your loved ones, and your Org's leaders and employees have been?
