This afternoon, Swedish Medtech and EIT Health held a very interesting panel discussion at Forskaren, moderated by Filippa Reinfeldt, business developer at Vectura Fastigheter. The event featured a series of impactful discussions with notable speakers providing EU-related perspectives: 🔹 Politician's Perspective: Anton Ångman, a doctor and candidate for the European Parliament (C), shared his views on the intersection of healthcare and EU policies. We were also privileged to have a representative from the Riksdag's EU Committee. 🔹 Patient's Perspective: Penilla Gunther, a member of the EU Cancer Board and Chair of the European Patient Safety Foundation, highlighted the critical issues facing patients across Europe. 🔹 Industry Perspective: Anna L. CEO of Swedish Medtech, provided valuable insights into the healthcare industry's role and challenges within the EU framework. 🔹 Life Science Program Representative: Pontus Holm, Program Coordinator for the Life Science Office, Region Stockholm, discussed the ongoing initiatives and collaborations in the life sciences sector. The panel discussion, held in the context of the upcoming EU elections, addressed current issues related to life science and the medical technology industry. The event also featured networking opportunities and mingling, allowing attendees to connect and share ideas! A big thank you to all the speakers for their engaging and informative presentations, and to everyone who attended and contributed to the lively discussions. Together, we continue to advance our understanding of healthcare in the EU and strive for better outcomes for all!
