"How much profit can I take from my business?" - GREAT question. Another great question is "how much profit do I NEED to take from my business?" While the 1st question only looks at what you've already earned, the 2nd question looks at your life goals too. -travel more? -lifestyle upgrade? -other ventures? -RETIRE on your terms? It's almost impossible to know how much you need to pocket from your business without knowing how much you need to accomplish your life goals. However, (this part gets me excited) as a business owner, you have the AMAZING opportunity to look at more options than simply "make more" or "spend less" in your personal life. -Set a higher revenue/sales goal? -re-evaluate business vendors? -Adjust service packages and/or pricing?
