Technically what is a BUILDING according to the OBC: The definition given by the "OBC 2024 pg.32 1. (1)" is so broad that any built structure that has floor, walls, a plumbing and sewage system can be considered a building. This can encompass structure made for housing just 1 person for example. This is because the definition includes structures more than 10 m2 with wall and plumbing and flooring or structure 10m2 or less ( definition b) with wall, doors, floor and plumbing. So I guess even a shack in your yard can be considered a building if it has flooring, walls, roof, plumbing and sewage connections or some sort.

Black phosphate drywall screws are commonly used to fasten drywall to wood or metal studs. Black phosphate provides corrosion resistance, which is especially useful in environments where moisture is a factor. These screws are suitable for interior construction applications and provide a secure fastening for drywall.

Doing a renovation on an old house will test your nerves, that's for sure. We've had to do several expensive projects already: asbestos abatement, replacing plumbing drains beneath the slab, pouring new footings, and replacing an old interior perimeter drain. Here's what my basement looked like yesterday. The concrete contractor poured the footing that's going to support the two big beams. They're currently supported by a temporary girder. They also started working on cleaning up the issues at the windows that were cut in after the foundation wall was laid. It's a mess right now, but we're on the verge of moving from structural work to control layers. Then we'll get to services (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and finishes. If you didn't see it before, here's a video update I did this week: https://lnkd.in/ejFBrsiG #basement #renovation #remodel #remodeling #insulation #structure #buildingenclosure

The dry facade of the building is said to be a facade that does not use mortar and cement mortar in their construction, and in which a kind of light installation system with mechanical connections is used to connect the facade cover to the building. In fact, the dry facade is a separate structure from the main building, but it does not add weight to the facade. The dry facade consists of several layers, which include the outer shell, ventilated interior space, thermal insulation layer, and the inner wall of the building, all of which are connected to the building structure by steel and aluminum structures.
