The TowerCares Foundation has granted over $3 million to help military families, Veterans, and children in need. Four special $25,000 donations to local TowerCares Community Heroes charity partners, (Hero Dogs, Inc., Casey Cares Foundation, Hospice of the Chesapeake, and CAMP ATTAWAY INC), along with the credit union's innovative Pennies for Change program, helped push the Foundation over the $3 million mark in just under a decade.  https://lnkd.in/e3VKjMdx  #towercares #herodogs #caseycares #hospiceofthechesapeake #campattaway

KBS and Transwestern recently partnered for the ninth year to support Wreaths Across America – a nonprofit that honors fallen U.S. soldiers by organizing wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 4,600 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.     KBS and Transwestern held their annual fundraising campaign across 10 KBS-owned properties where Transwestern provides property management services, raising funds to purchase 2,937 wreaths.     On National Wreaths Across America Day, December 14, volunteers from both companies joined others at Arlington National Cemetery and sites to place balsam wreaths on veterans’ headstones in a tribute of respect and remembrance.     Find out more, below:   https://lnkd.in/gH8tjzBf #KBSGives #Philanthropy #Partnership #WreathsAcrossAmerica #Virginia

This year, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Join the more than two million volunteers and supporters who will gather to Remember, Honor and Teach at more than 4,600 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad. Each Veterans’ Wreath placed on National Wreaths Across America Day is sponsored for just $17 per wreath. Link: https://lnkd.in/gn4NJ6wa The last day to sponsor a wreath for Wreaths Across America is December 3, 2024. This deadline ensures that the wreath will be placed on National Wreaths Across America Day. To sponsor a wreath, you can: ▪️Select "Sponsor Wreaths" ▪️Choose a location to support ▪️Select a location from the drop-down menu ▪️If a participating cemetery isn't listed, select "choose another cemetery to support" Note: Wreaths Across America accepts donations all year long, but funds and donations must arrive by a certain date to be guaranteed for placement on Wreath Day.
