From Finish Line to Business Pipeline: An Unexpected Networking Moment 🏃♂️ This Sunday marked my 13th race of 2024 at the Reindeer Dash for Cash 10 Miler. What started as a simple decision to wear an old Collins Aerospace t-shirt turned into a meaningful connection opportunity. Throughout the race, I encountered inspiring service members from the North Carolina National Guard and East Carolina University's Army & Air Force ROTC teams who were rucking both the 4 and 10-mile courses. Not only could I thank them for their service, but my company shirt sparked their curiosity. Post-race conversations naturally led to questions about Collins Aerospace. I proudly shared about our Wilson facility and our position as an RTX business. A simple race day outfit choice became an organic opportunity to represent our company. This perfectly embodies my recruiting philosophy: "Love what you do and it won't feel like work." The most impactful networking often happens outside traditional settings - whether I'm wearing a work polo at the grocery store, a branded jacket picking up dinner, or a t-shirt at a race.
