This flavor is very close to our hearts as it has been in the making for a long time. Four years ago, Fortune Favors co-founder and COO, Jessica Benish, first ignited the idea of a sweet and salty, barbecue-flavored candied pecan. Over the years, she worked with Chef Eric to tweak the recipe, making sure it matched the vegan, gluten-free, and low sugar standards of the rest of our products. Looking for an easy, healthy chocolate recipe?! Here is a good one from Standard Process… Chocolate Mousse ½ cup medjool dates, pitted 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 avocados, mashed ¾ cup cocoa powder ½ cup water or more for desired consistency Place dates and vanilla extract into food processor and process until smooth. Add the mashed avocado and cocoa powder and process until creamy. Be sure to scrape down the sides to thoroughly mix in the ingredients. Add water and process until smooth. Serve chilled. Top with fresh, organic strawberries or raspberries, shaved dark chocolate, or cocoa nibs. This is a rich and smooth dairy free mouse that keeps up to 3 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Tip: to make chocolate sauce or fondue, increase the water to 1 cup. Enjoy! Chocolate mousse (or ice cream) I have tested dozens of avocado mousse recipes, and they all end up tasting of avocado. This is not a bad thing if you love avocado, but not necessarily the overriding taste you want in a mousse. This recipe is silky, creamy, nutrient dense and has only a hint of avocado. However, adding extra cocoa powder and sweetener masks the avocado taste even more. You can eat as a mousse or freeze for ice cream. For recipe: https://lnkd.in/eJigKTEy
