I had an awesome time at #UCW2024 meeting my RunBuggy team in-person and making new connections across the automotive industry! Zooming out from my background in IoT sensors tracking the flow of inventory like equipment across labs 🔬, warehouses and cities 🏙️, now I track the flow of vehicles 🚗 across the US and Canada. Switching over to the world of buying, selling, and transporting vehicles, here were a few of my key takeaways: 1. From exposing payment fraud ⚠️ to optimizing vehicle pricing/advertising spend per VIN based on Google Ads/comparative prices 📈 to identifying damage on vehicles in transit 📷🔍, AI/LLMs can automate manual tasks and de-risk parts of the process. At RunBuggy, we've created an AI-based 🧠 sourcing system to strategically identify transport stress points and facilitate 🔑 transporter assignments based on routes 🗺️, capacity, and performance. 2. Similar to my exp in IoT inventory management: industry-standard, legacy SaaS platforms can be outdated 🕰️ or difficult to use 🤔, so creating easier, intuitive systems with open integrations will lead to quicker adoption and efficiencies along the way. 3. Conferences help teams generate ideas 💡 outside a digital echo chamber 💬: live collaboration/discussions spawn from exposure to new thoughts together. The other missing ingredient? Having a team that is open to change👐: this combination can ignite innovative product features and changes to internal processes that might not have happened otherwise. The future of automotive, logistics, and supply chain is bright, keep building!

This year, the scenic city of Siliguri “ May fair Tea Estate “ played host to the annual STIHL India conference 2023, a much-anticipated event that gathers the entire team under one roof to reflect on the years' events and celebrate growth that comes with teamwork under the powerful leadership of STIHL India leaders. As the conference unfolded, our Managing Director, Mr. Parind Prabhudesai not only brought reminiscence of our achievements, but also shared insights on current challenges and the opportunities that we foresee. The event was not just a gathering but a celebration of the remarkable journey of STIHL India through 2023, and laid a guiding map for unleashing the next level in 2024.   Longevity and loyalty were also celebrated with the Long Service Awards, acknowledging those who have been with STIHL India for 5 and 10 years. These awards underscore the value that STIHL India places on its human capital and the deep sense of family that defines the organization.   The highlight of the event was the Awards Night—an evening dedicated to the super heroes of STIHL India. Achievers across various departments were honored for their exceptional contributions. The awards presented included the prestigious Award of Excellence, Best Demo Specialist 2023, and Best Technical Service Award 2023. Not to be overlooked, the Best Sales Manager Award 2023 and Best Regional Award 2023 celebrated outstanding sales leadership and regional growth, respectively. The Extra Mile Award shone a light on those who consistently went beyond the call of duty to ensure STIHL's success.   What made this Award ceremony different from the previous years is the special inclusion of the MD's Award. This new category of award is bestowed upon person whose relentless dedication and innovative strategies elevate both the department and the organization as a whole consistently over last few years.   This ceremony was not just for recognizing those who have proven their metal, but also for inspiring new team members, including those who have recently completed six months with the company, with stories of achievement and dedication and integrating them with STIHL culture.   As the day concluded, the air was thick with motivation and inspiration. Two Decades of Growth, Innovation, and Memories with Forvia Hella! As 2024 comes to a close, I’m proud to celebrate 20 incredible years with Forvia Hella—two decades filled with challenges, accomplishments, and countless opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. Looking back, my journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first steps to where I stand today, each chapter has played a pivotal role in shaping my career. Chapter 1: Lighting the Way It all began in the OE Lighting division, where I immersed myself in development, industrialization, and production. These years provided the technical foundation and invaluable hands-on experience in bringing products to life and launching them successfully into production. Chapter 2: Pioneering New Frontiers The next phase saw me transition into Hella’s Industry division, where I explored new horizons through strategy, technology transfer, product management, and international sales. This chapter not only enabled me to develop innovative business models and enter new markets but also widened my perspective on diverse markets. It was a journey of profound learning, helping me understand varying global customer needs and requirements. Chapter 3: Leading in the Aftermarket Since 2015, I’ve had the privilege of leading as Managing Director and Regional Director for Forvia Hella Aftermarket in Dubai. This chapter has been both challenging and rewarding, marked by navigating a dynamic, multicultural region with complex economic and geopolitical influences. Each experience has reinforced my adaptability, resilience, and leadership, preparing me for what lies ahead. I owe a deep sense of gratitude to my colleagues and managers for their trust and support throughout this journey. These years have not only shaped my career but also helped me grow as a person. As I step into 2025, I’m excited for the future, ready to embrace new challenges, and inspired by the opportunities that lie ahead.
