I am excited to share that I have successfully completed a dynamic 2-month internship as an Electrical Engineer at Deir Ammar power plant. This invaluable experience has provided me with hands-on knowledge in power protection, distribution, and the intricate operations of gas and steam turbines. Let me take you through the enriching insights and highlights of my internship journey: Empowering Power Knowledge: Throughout my internship, I was immersed in the fascinating world of power protection and distribution. I had the privilege of working alongside skilled professionals who mentored me in optimizing power flow, ensuring system reliability, and safeguarding critical equipment. Mastering Turbine Operations: One of the most exciting aspects of my internship was gaining firsthand experience in the operation and maintenance of gas and steam turbines. From understanding the intricacies of their functioning to participating in maintenance routines, I've gained insights that go beyond textbooks. Machinery Proficiency: My internship exposed me to a diverse range of machinery used in power generation. I was involved in diagnosing and rectifying issues, contributing to the smooth functioning of vital equipment and developing a holistic understanding of plant operations. Real-World Challenges: The power plant environment challenged me to think critically and respond effectively to real-time scenarios. This experience has honed my problem-solving skills and enhanced my ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Collaborative Learning: Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and professionals has been an invaluable experience. I've learned that successful power plant operations are a result of seamless collaboration and shared knowledge among team members. Path to Professional Growth: This internship has been a stepping stone in my journey toward becoming a skilled electrical engineer. The practical exposure I've gained has deepened my passion for this field and equipped me with skills that will undoubtedly shape my future endeavors.
