Through our subsidiary, E4E Relief, we have been able to respond swiftly to the growing needs of affected employees, offering critical financial support during this challenging time. We are proud of our team at E4E Relief in continuing to work alongside companies and donors to provide meaningful relief for those facing personal hardship in the wake of this disaster.
As a disaster relief organization rooted in the Carolinas, E4E Relief is proud to launch the Hurricane Helene Community Fund, which will provide direct charitable financial support to individuals impacted by this devastating storm. The Hurricane Helene Community Fund is our way of extending relief beyond our workforce relief programs, reaching individuals across the Southeast who need access to additional resources for long-term recovery and rebuilding. We know many small businesses, farmers, entrepreneurs, and artists reside in the Appalachia region and bring vitality to the Southeast. Through collective donations from our partners and compassionate individuals everywhere, the Fund will provide grants for needs that exist long after the waters have receded including temporary housing, home repairs, automobile repairs, household item replacement and more. Our Fund is independent of the employee relief programs we power on behalf of our clients. In fact, over 50% of our corporate clients have employees affected by Hurricane Helene; we are seeing a record number of applications and have already granted over $1M in relief. And, as always, we remain fully committed to ensuring our clients’ workforces continue to receive our best-in-class service every day of the year. As trusted leaders in disaster recovery, we are deeply committed to supporting our North Carolina-based neighbors and everyone who has been impacted by Hurricane Helene throughout the Southeast. We encourage you to join us in supporting our effort, by donating today. Every contribution – no matter the size – makes a difference in helping families recover, rebuild and restore. A huge thank you to Forbes for highlighting our small business grant program, Beyond Open CLT!
This Hispanic Heritage Month, Forbes took a moment to speak with the owners of Chic Salon & Spa (Yessica G Aguirre) and Foundation For The Carolinas Special Advisor for Civic Initiatives, Tracy Russ, to learn about the diverse small businesses that are being supported by Beyond Open. Our program, led by Foundation For The Carolinas and supported by Wells Fargo's #openforbusiness Fund, is so proud of the many small business owners who are leveraging a Beyond Open grant to provide and grow their offerings. Check out the inspiring story to learn more about the Foundation's commitment to help move the needle on economic mobility in Charlotte. "...While Charlotte is no longer in last place, it still needs to work on its 38th ranking. Beyond Open may help the city and its small businesses do so. By concentrating resources in Charlotte, the program aims to create a more equitable distribution of capital and support. “We recognize that small businesses are catalysts for positive change in these communities,” Russ noted..."
