As Congress continues their summer recess, I hope policymakers will take the time to listen to their constituents about their healthcare challenges and really take in the insights. New innovations over the past few years have made significant progress in fighting disease, especially in oncology and immunology spaces where I’ve worked, but if people can’t access those innovations, they are meaningless. A 2023 Ipsos survey found that over half of Americans indicated the cost of accessing treatment was the biggest problem facing the national healthcare system. Twenty-seven percent of those surveyed identified access to treatment and long wait times specifically. Despite it being an election year, there is opportunity for significant change to address these issues. #HealthcareAccess #HealthcareforAll #PatientAccess
