Meet the faces behind Toronto's favourite physiotherapy brand 😁 Karlyn Driedger joined the Foundation as an associate in 2015. In 2018, she partnered with the Foundation to lead the first expansion at the Downtown location. She currently serves as the Foundation's pelvic health lead and director of operations. Alexandra Sandler joined Foundation as an associate in 2014 and went on to lead our second expansion in beautiful Corktown! She is currently the brand's director of recruitment and HR. Raj Suppiah PT co-founded Foundation in 2011 with a vision to bring high-quality, one-on-one, outcome-driven musculoskeletal health to Toronto. While this was a novel idea at the time, it has now become the gold standard for physiotherapy care! Raj is in charge of Foundation's marketing strategy and serves as our director of growth. Our vision is to bring quality physical and movement health care to more communities across Ontario and, hopefully, Canada! We continue to practice as physiotherapists and ensure that the Foundation continues to be a leader in this rapidly changing industry. We do this by chasing productivity and excellence while giving our staff a great workplace where they can learn, grow, and have fun. If you ever see us at the clinics, please say hi! We always love a good chat! #fueledbyfoundation

Controversial topic that could be addressed better. Tough call for those being interviewed too! 1. Healthcare Quality and Access: A shortage of doctors in the public sector can lead to longer waiting times and reduced patient care quality. 2. Increased Healthcare Costs: More doctors moving to the private sector can make healthcare less affordable, widening health inequities. 3. Public Trust and Confidence: Persistent issues in the healthcare system can erode public trust and confidence in healthcare services. What do you all think? Source: https://lnkd.in/gzbbvFPB

Until the story is told by the lion, the hunter will always be glorified. African proverb As a Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner I have come to #SharedMedicalAppointments a bit late. https://lnkd.in/gzZNKHFA It is only now that I and our team at Dandenong & District Aborigines Co-operative Ltd (DDACL) are implementing an #SMA program for our #Aboriginal and #TorresStraitIslander community. SMA are very suited to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. Incorporating the yarning circling concept and principles would more likely make it culturally safe and ensures ownership of the health consultation space by patients. So why so late? It has got to do with how I approach #LM Practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander communities. In essence LM Practice is all about change and behavioural change in particular. Change in community work need to embrace #communitydevelopment approaches and sensibilities. Let me give you an analogy: Imagine you as a health professional in the passenger seat in a car. The community or health service is the driver. There are communities I have worked with who are on a full licence. The opportunity here for me is to keep conversing with the driver/community to keep them awake to and aware of the changing healthcare landscape and to strategise for long-term health outcomes and sustainability. Some communities are on their Ps. Still in the passenger seat the health professional is a little less relaxed. There may be some risks due to inexperience in the healthcare space but the fundamentals for a great journey in servicing the community are there. The role of health professionals is to make risks visible. There a few L plated communities too mainly due to poor resources. This is a much more challenging passenger seat to sit in. Still the most important thing to do is to stay in the passenger seat (not in the driver seat nor outside the car); develop a trusting and respectful relationship for a safe conversation about how to navigate effective service delivery and how to steer the (clinical) governance of the health service. One needs to brace for mistakes and celebrate milestones. Patience, respect and long-term growth mindset are some important attributes of the passenger. Working with community takes time. Implementing SMA did not just happen over night and it has been a long journey. We are grateful for Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine support and onsite training. It helped the team to be energised with purpose and clear direction in what we want SMA to look like at DDACL. Somehow I will be standing next to SMA giants like John Stevens and Kellie Kerin at a pre-ASLM conference workshop. If you can make a trip to Adelaide please come and have a chat. The Lifestyle Medicine Conference 2024 is part of the #EssentialHealthSummit, 25-27th July at the Adelaide Convention Centre! Program: . https://lnkd.in/g7Rnm2ET

Interesting summary of some of the debates and discussion in some of the areas of arts and health, worth a read and a reflect. Will this work scale or propagate? Are challenges common because strategies are predictable? How to bridge work that is ultimately intimate and local with the swirl of globalisation? How to hear the quiet voices?
Thank you colleagues at Flinders University and the Global Arts and Health Alliance for featuring the Arts and Health Singapore Repository in their newly published report on "What does an arts & health organisation do?" hosted by the Analysis & Policy Observatory. It is a joy working together in forging path for arts and health globally! https://lnkd.in/dG6tXPvE #Artsparticipation #healthpromotion #artsandhealth #wellbeing #Singapore

Ready to Attract More Patients and Dominate Local Search? | Helping Chiropractors Grow Their Practice with Proven SEO & Web Marketing Strategies | Client Success Manager at Boston SEO Services
🔥 Ever Wonder Why a Busy City Like New York Can Still Feel Like a Ghost Town for New Patient Bookings? Dr. John runs five chiropractic offices across New York City, offering top-notch care. But despite being in one of the busiest cities in the world, his waiting rooms had too many empty chairs. 🪑 He couldn’t figure out why his expert team and prime locations weren’t attracting more new patients. Then he discovered the problem.. . ❓ Is Your Chiropractic Practice Getting the Visibility It Deserves? You could be one of the best chiropractors in the city, but if new patients aren’t finding your clinics, your online presence could be the reason. 😬 🔎 Why Are You Struggling to Fill Your Appointment Books? 1️⃣ Your Practice is Buried on Google 🏚️ Even in a densely populated area, patients can’t find you if your offices aren’t ranking well online. Location means nothing if Google’s not putting you on the map. 2️⃣ Lack of Reviews is Hurting Trust 😬 No reviews = no trust. In a competitive city like NYC, patients need to see others vouching for you before they book. 3️⃣ Underutilized Social Media 💤 Having five offices in New York means nothing if your social media presence isn’t engaging. Sporadic posts don’t build trust or convert followers into patients. 4️⃣ You Don’t Know How Visible You Are 🧐 If you’re not tracking your online visibility, you're leaving it to chance whether potential patients see you or your competitors. 💡 Dr. John took control by focusing on improving his digital presence. After optimizing his online visibility, his five NYC offices saw a dramatic increase in patient bookings. 🚀 Want to know where your practice stands? Take the Chiropractor Visibility Audit and find out what’s holding back your growth. Passionate About Increasing Educational and Social Opportunities for All| Widening Participation, Curriculum Development & Creating the Global Citizen| Everyone Deserves Opportunity|
“Sameer, you are still in remission. Well done!” Those words were told yesterday by my medical team. I will always say, I am forever grateful for each and every hospital staff member. This is not just a celebration for me, it’s a celebration and acknowledgement for their hard efforts in making me overcome a very challenging period of my life. As a distraction whilst waiting for the news on my result, I tuned into rewatching our Paralympic athletes win gold in Paris. A nice form of mind deviation in the already anxious place that is the doctor waiting room. Moving forward, doctors have authorised me that I am clear to start my next move professionally. Look forward to seeing the next opportunity presents! My passion lies in creating opportunities for people. I truly endeavour to see people thrive with accessibility to education and wellbeing services. There is nothing greater to me then seeing people break down social barriers and becoming the next great professional and person. On a side note, as a person who has spent most of this year inside a health care setting, I do hope to see more inclusivity in medical programs. When you invite people from low SES backgrounds into medicine, we are addresssing the empathy part. Equally we are giving them a chance to showcase their talent. Low SES people can then relate well to people who are in Low SES settings. I’m in no way downgrading the people from upper class backgrounds. They equally deserve to be doctors but balancing it with people from the other social class can help address the empathy and compassion that is needed in healthcare. How do we do that? I’m not sure. I still feel the existing ways of entering medicine can be more streamlined (as some people cannot afford to pay thousands in preparation) but like many problems, there will always be a solution. #wideningparticipation #medicalschool #increasingdiversity
