Thanks to the stellar group who joined a brainstorming session yesterday with government leaders Rt Hon Rachel Reeves, Peter Kyle . And a lastminute surprise cameo guest star to add extra gravitas from across the pond - Reid Hoffman. Good to see UK government engaging with tech leaders about how to stay ahead and keep the UK the best place in Europe to start & scale a business & lead in AI : Some topics covered : - how to use more AI in government, more procurement from startups and more AI benefits diffused across society. Ie not just for city dwellers but also for those in towns to reap the benefits. - AI adoption within corporates (see WPP , Mark Read with 30,000 employees using their AI tools) - AI training and skills (Euan Blair & Multiverse expanded to govt…. - how to have the best and simplest regulatory environment, fintech/insuretech/AI etc (TS Anil of Monzo Bank , Paul Taylor of Thought Machine, Sten Saar of Zego, Charlie Bryant of Houseful ) - picking up on the spending review how tech can help - & Pat McFadden speech about how attract brilliant talent to do a tour of duty in the UK govt. - We also discussed the EU inc intiative and how it could help entrepreneurs scale across the EU, and benefit Europe as a whole! Wonderful to have the Anglophile AI public intellectual Reid Hoffman join us fresh from 2 nights of insightful lectures on AI & Superagency before his upcoming book launch.
