📣 CALLING ALL GRANDPARENTS, PARENTS, AUNTS, UNCLES AND FRIENDS IN WV MANUFACTURING! 📣 Who better to inspire the next generation than those who are already shaping the world through manufacturing? Whether you're a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or work directly in the manufacturing industry, your experiences and passion can be a powerful influence on young minds. Manufacturing is often misunderstood or overlooked as a career choice, but it's a dynamic field with a wide range of opportunities. Sharing your own experiences, talking about the exciting aspects of your work, and emphasizing the importance of innovation and problem-solving in manufacturing can go a long way in sparking interest. It's not just about the technical skills; it's about creativity, teamwork, and making a tangible impact on the world. To help spark creativity, we are collaborating with the Blenko Glass Company, once again, for the Student Design Challenge. It shouldn't be this expensive. Btw, here are the things I learned while making it: 📌 Make sure the position of the glasses is relative. 📌 Frames over rectangles, but sometimes you have to use the latter one. 📌 "Component set" is the key.

Welcome back to WWW! Today we will be discussing...perfection, a weird yet important topic to speak about. Although you may not realize it, perfection is something that pops up in conversation more often than you realize. In our industry, perfection is a “forbidden word” because nothing is ever perfect in design and manufacturing. When vendors, mills, factories, and suppliers begin building, there must be an understanding that it isn’t going to come out perfectly baked or even be an identical twin to an original inspiration sample you may have used as the initial direction. You must be ok with fraternal twins, or you will never allow yourself to take off. We get it, when you see your first prototype, it may look different than what you originally envisioned, but you’re no different than Tommy, Ralph, or Donna. They all have gone through the same process so just know that you’re not immune to it. Please come in with an open mind, otherwise you will repeatedly find yourself stuck at square one. And that’s no fun! Even though this isn’t an easy conversation to have, and it may be hard to let go of the reigns a bit, it is a crucial conversation to have! #WiseWordsWednesday #WWW #Perfection #F2F #FabrictoFinsih #wegetyoufromrunwaytoreality®
