Sheryl’s article points out a need to attract, develop, and retain pilots for corporate flight departments and a concern that Low Time Pilots will be snatched up by airlines when the backlog of plane deliveries finally resumes. I would also be concerned that hiring retired airline captains is a short-term solution as they eventually age out altogether from aviation careers.
