❓ If someone proposed the ability to add 4 additional turns on your pre-owned inventory with no additional cost would you be in ❓ The majority of dealers are sleeping at the wheel the first 15 days of a vehicles life-cycle. Slow recon times, auction cars taking a week to arrive, pricing cars above market value to see if you get lucky, and not stocking trades in immediately. These are examples of inefficiencies that you can get rid of FOR FREE 💵 Like many, we thought turning our inventory 12x a year was solid and a result of the demand in our market and our good processes. Sixty days ago we rolled up our sleeves and went on a mission to find the breadcrumbs we were missing to get even better. What we found were small inefficiencies that when combined, were resulting in idle times that were completely avoidable if we just focused on them daily. -We reached out to our transporters and told them to get our cars to us faster at no additional charge -We started using our recon tool correctly and had conversations daily about units that were past due -We stopped dreaming about getting lucky and priced cars to sell DAY 1 -We lead by example and started pushing trades through service the SAME DAY they were taken in As a result.....we are selling cars 7 days faster then when we started. For us, that's an additional 375 cars a year with no additional spend = Net profits best friend.
