Leonardo DiCaprio has pledged $1 million to support fire relief efforts in Los Angeles. The actor, widely recognised for his environmental activism, announced the contribution via Instagram Stories, describing the ongoing wildfires as “a tragedy for our city.“ His donation, directed through Rewild’s Rapid Response Programme, will assist several critical organisations in addressing both immediate needs and long-term recovery efforts. “I am committing $1 million in partnership with @rewild’s Rapid Response Programme to support both urgent needs and post-fire recovery efforts,” DiCaprio wrote. The beneficiaries include the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, World Central Kitchen and Pasadena Humane Society. KBS and Transwestern recently partnered for the ninth year to support Wreaths Across America – a nonprofit that honors fallen U.S. soldiers by organizing wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 4,600 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.     KBS and Transwestern held their annual fundraising campaign across 10 KBS-owned properties where Transwestern provides property management services, raising funds to purchase 2,937 wreaths.     On National Wreaths Across America Day, December 14, volunteers from both companies joined others at Arlington National Cemetery and sites to place balsam wreaths on veterans’ headstones in a tribute of respect and remembrance.     Find out more, below:   https://lnkd.in/gH8tjzBf #KBSGives #Philanthropy #Partnership #WreathsAcrossAmerica #Virginia

Andy York, our Human Rights Manager, and Dominique Conteh, CIPP/E., Head of Ethics and Compliance, represented Pilgrim's Europe at the Bright Future Co-op Parliamentary Roundtable yesterday, hosted with the Co-operative Party. The important event brought together MPs, businesses and charities to discuss what more can be done to create opportunities for those affected.   Through our work with Bright Future Co-operative, we’re supporting victims of modern slavery from the UK to have permanent, safe employment.
