Congratulations to our Distinguished Women Award Honoree, Diane Maher. The Distinguished Women Award is an honor bestowed upon those who value free-enterprise, hard work, determination, creativity, and a passion to make the world a better place.
Diane Maher is the President and Chief Strategy Officer of DP Fox Ventures, LLC, a diversified management company with interests in real estate, transportation, fashion, sports and entertainment. She is also the President & Chief Operating Officer for Fox Motors. Fox Motors is a retail automotive and powersports group representing 43 locations and 49 brands. The locations stretch from Chicago to Grand Rapids to Marquette in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Diane started at DP Fox Ventures in 1993 as the firm’s Vice President of Finance. She was promoted to Chief Financial Officer a few years later, to Chief Operating Officer in 2009 and Chief Strategy Officer in 2023. She has handled acquisitions of all Fox Motors dealerships in her role as CFO and COO starting with the very first one in 2000. Diane previously worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP from 1987-1993 as an Audit Manager and as a financial consultant to DP Fox.
Ms. Maher is a graduate of Ferris State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. She received her designation as a CPA in 1987. She is currently a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Diane has received various awards and recognitions over her career. The Women Presidents Organization named her one of the 50 Fastest Growing Women-Owned/Led Companies in 2023. She has been on the list of the Top 200 influential leaders in Grand Rapids 5 times and awarded designation as a Top 50 most influential female leader in West Michigan in 2020 and 2024. In addition, Diane has been nominated 3 times for the Grand Rapids Business Journal Newsmaker of the Year.
Diane lives in East Grand Rapids, MI and has three children.
