The new administration building will be situated near the recently constructed West Richland Police Station and the Tri-City Raceway. Benton REA acquired nearly 18 acres for this development, with plans to construct the facility in phases to ensure cost-effectiveness for its members. Our dedicated team at GPI is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance throughout the construction process. Custom drums. They have so many applications for concrete and can be made in a variety of different shapes and sizes. But what does the process look like, and how do things work start to finish? Here's a quick look at how customer PCiRoads went through the process: The Challenge: Minneapolis is booming with growth, but its century-old storm drain system was feeling the strain. With cracks and breaks, it needed a major overhaul to keep up with the city's hustle and bustle. The Search: PCiRoads 30-person crew was tasked with installing about 4,200 feet of new tunnel with a total of around 15,000 cubic yards of new concrete. Estimator and project manager, Nap Scott, knew the amount of concrete involved and the complexity of working far below the streets of downtown would require a unique solution. Knowing a stock solution wouldn't cut it, Mike Clover, PCiRoads concrete superintendent, searched for a more user-friendly, efficient method to shape the concrete. Innovation at Work: Clover reached out to us and laid out their required specs — a drum with a 13-inch drop for the tunnel floor that could only extend out a few inches because of the tunnel walls. They also would require a way to finish the concrete after the custom drum shaped it. Drawings of the custom system were sent, and once approved we built the equipment. The Results: After testing the equipment and making sure it could be safely transferred underground, the real job began. With our custom equipment and PCi's skilled team, workers were able to complete the job quicker, with higher efficiency and a healthier environment. It is a wrap in Morgan Hill. The RPS team just opened this project after two phases of concrete repairs, two phases of asphalt repairs and two phases of seal coat/striping. RPS designed/managed to design a scope of work that will stave off pavement replacement for this community for 10+ years. And even at the 10 year mark, depending upon what they want to accomplish, they may not need a full payment replacement project. #WeDoNotOverdesign #RPSIsCreatingNewStandards

Another down month for Dodge Construction Network starts. Not surprisingly the weakness was in commercial, manufacturing, and multifamily. Single family, roads/bridges and healthcare all did quite well. We're not likely to see interest rates move lower until much later in the year, which should continue to put strain on commercial and multifamily starts. #construction
