The California Lawyers Association (CLA) has named Daniel M. Goldberg, Chair of our Data Strategy, Privacy & Security Group, the 2025 "California Lawyer of the Year!” This award recognizes a lawyer’s significant contributions to the development of California privacy law. Daniel becomes only the third person, and first private practitioner, to receive this award. A highly respected leader in privacy law, Daniel advises on a wide range of privacy, security, and AI matters, including compliance with consumer, business, and HR datasets. His expertise spans from handling high-stakes regulatory enforcement actions to shaping the application of privacy laws, including one of the first public actions under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
