Fraser & Partners’ Post

Progress update on our Melbourne architecture office project, led by Associate Director and Head of Interiors, Melissa Leung, in collaboration with G-LUX and Linkstone Australia. To date, 254 bespoke tiles have been laid, crafted from repurposed natural stone offcuts to showcase the beauty and variation of 40 different stones while ensuring zero waste. The curated layout transforms our flooring into a stone library, featuring an extensive range of natural stones, predominantly marbles. Each tile highlights the unique characteristics of the materials – no two slabs are the same – and demonstrates how stones can be paired tonally or juxtaposed for bold contrasts. This material-led design focuses on authenticity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. It’s a sustainable and creative approach that not only honours the materials but also inspires our clients, offering a deeper understanding of the possibilities of natural stone. Stay tuned for more updates as the project progresses.
