Period poverty leads to reproductive tract Infections which can affect the overall well-being of women and girls of reproductive age. Let's end period poverty and end reproductive tract Infections!

Iam a CSO in PNG and with the help of Seven Sisters Foundation, I started distributing the reusable sanitary pads to high schools and villages in my province. I need assistant with freighting the products out of Brisbane, Australia. We have request from other CSOs in other Provinces wanting the products, but we're yet to deliver. How can UN WOMEN help us to continue delivering the products to the marginalised women in the rural community???

This is a cause worth championing and supporting. A curriculum should be drafted not only for schools but also for social and gender support programs that especially empower the young men. If Boys and Men can be envisioned and called upon to support this cause then period poverty will cease to be an issue within 5-years time!

Every government should make sanitary pads free for all girls and women. A collection center should be provided at every community. Schools and worship centers can also be utilized. We should help the girl child and women, they are our mothers, sisters, wives and friends.

I am the founder of Mekeliwa Women Foundation, and I try to provide access to sanitary products for girls and women from my village in northern Namibia. For the past 3 years I have been doing this from my own funds but funding will make a huge difference in their health, education and overall well-being. I need support and funding to expand my impact to assist with some of the challenges I am facing. UN Women I hope you assist with such grants.

Diversity is a fact. Equity is a choice. Inclusion is an action. Belonging is an outcome.

Eloise Hall and the team at Taboo Period Products are doing phenomenal work in this space in Australia - driving awareness, delivering education, funding research and importantly ensuring impact where it counts by porviding accessible supply of organic and sustainable priod products.

This is very insightful! Lifesong Kenya is empowering boys and young men to treat women and girls with honor, dignity and respect. This includes understanding the challenges that women face in terms of period poverty and how to be conduits of transformational change
