More journalists have been killed in Gaza than in any other conflict. More children have been killed in Gaza than in any other conflict. There are more child amputees in Gaza than in any part of the world. More UN employees have been killed in Gaza than in any other conflict. More bombs have been dropped in Gaza than in any other conflict (if you take into account the size of Gaza, compared to Hiroshima, you get more of a sense of that the phrase ‘carpet-bombing’ means’) More Israeli hostages have been killed by the IDF than rescued by them. Palestinians have been driven out of their homes and kenneled into small parts of Gaza, systemically bombed and massacred in their shelters. Their homes pillaged, the land is being illegally annexed. Do you still think this is justified? Do you still think this is ‘complicated’? Do you still think that ‘this is what happens in wars?’ Do you still think that this has nothing to do with you? Dear Reader, this is a genocide. None of us are safe if all of us aren’t safe. None of us are free unless all of us are free.

The P@lest!n!an Journalists’ Syndicate reports that Israel has claimed the lives of over 100 P@lest!n!an journalists in G@ z@ in less than 100 days. This shocking toll surpasses the number of journalists killed during the entire six-year duration of World War II, which saw 69 journalists lose their lives. The data suggests that, on average, Israel has been responsible for more than one P@lest!n!an journalist’s death each day for over three months. The victims, undeterred by personal losses inflicted by I5r@el, continued to report on the dire situation in their communities. Despite facing the loss of loved ones, city-wide starvation, and the reduction of their neighborhoods to rubble, these journalists aimed to shed light on the horrors I5r@el was imposing on their communities, hoping that global awareness would prompt intervention.
