This is quite incredible and a testament to the brilliant minds at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the #Voyager team. Voyager 1 is once again conducting normal science operations for the first time since November 2023. All four instruments – which study plasma waves, magnetic fields, and particles – are returning USABLE science data. Let’s not forget that Voyager 1 & 2 are closing in on 47 YEARS of operations; are NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's most distant and longest running spacecraft; and in the case of Voyager 1, is now 15 BILLION miles from Earth. NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration our celestial objects in motion? Mark so if we weren’t moving and detecting them, would they be moving. Because, in the spectrum of measurement. They seem to be not only moving around a force, but instead shaped as if there are already and movement. And if they are, why are we not moving in the same direction? To me, this seems like every bird on the planet is flying away from something. And you wanna fly into it? I’m not saying I’m against it? Is that what you’re doing? And, if they are already moving. One way, we would be pulling her self toward by shifting their direction into a grouping. And the other way we would be group being in a leapfrog type of scenario. 💡 Did you know that the NASA "Meatball" logo, officially known as the NASA Insignia, was created 65 years ago in 1959, just a year after NASA was established? Designed by James Modarelli, it has become one of the most recognized symbols in the world and has a fantastic meaning. In 2024, a partnership is highlighted by the theme "Customs Engaging Traditional and New Partners with Purpose". A very important topic, as we can see from the collaboration between NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and SpaceX, for example. Excellent results delivered! The European Space Agency is considering following the path of this cooperation model. An interesting fact - this is also important in the context of developing the lunar economy. And yes, it has something to do with customs - growing exports to the moon and imports from there! Eric Berger's new book (great excerpt by Ars Technica) gets to how deep the problem is inside NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Phil McAlister is a national hero and kudos to William. Gerstenmaier for doing the right thing. I love our national space agency, but the group-think by the old guard at NASA is a problem. China is coming. The only way to beat China is to better leverage commercial entrepreneurs. We can't beat China by beating them at being better at socialism (big government programs). NASA needs to be doubling down on commercial partnerships. Instead NASA is like a deer in the headlights. We need a new generation of leadership at NASA that has conviction on commercial partnerships is needed.
