This is throwing money to garbage . They can’t make money from it. The only model that works is mine and will give it to European car makers. The first lucky one . So mark this date today may 5th 2025. It is very easy you look you don’t see the money in this model . It just because there is no money 😉🤔😁. To give you a hint so that you don’t say this guy is BS . Ask yourself the question why do we need self driving cars in the first place. Who told you that people have a problem with driving their cars . Most people enjoy driving their cars . And one idiot came up with this idea that he thinks it is cool and told them stop driving your cars because you need this Autonomous driving feature that you will pay for it to stop driving your car . Similar to taking the bus😁. Genius American mind 🇺🇸👌 Anyhow, if you need help to monetize this another stupid idea . You know what to do?

Hyundai Motor Company (현대자동차) is on the move! Taking opportunity of Aptiv’s need for cash. Hyundai has agreed to spend nearly $1 billion on Motional an investment that will give the automaker a majority stake while providing the self-driving startup with the necessary capital to keep operating. The Korean automaker invested $475 million directly into Motional as part of a broader deal that includes buying out joint venture partner Aptiv. As part of the deal, Hyundai will spend another $448 million to buy 11% of Aptiv’s common equity interest in Motional, according to information revealed Thursday in Aptiv’s first-quarter earnings report. Aptiv also shared that it expects to reduce its common equity interest in Motional from 50% as of March 31 to about 15%, leaving Hyundai with the remaining 85% control. #robotaxis #disruption #hyundai #aptiv

WeRide's IPO has arrived. This should be a closely watched offering, across so many dimensions: -- Self-driving car start-ups were red hot in 2017, when WeRide was founded. We have passed through the "trough of disillusionment", with high profile stumbles (eg., Cruise, Uber and Lyft's self-driving units, Argo) and a slew of "what ever happened to self-driving" negative thought pieces. Now, Waymo has launched full commercial services in SF (and is expanding to other cities), WeRide, Pony and Baidu are in large scale service rollout across more than a dozen cities. Tesla also seems to be barreling towards a robotaxi launch (overly optimistic pronouncements notwithstanding). We may be headed up the "slope of enlightenment", led by the surviving competitors that emerged from the primordial soup of 2017 -- High profile listings of Chinese companies on US stock markets have been non-existent since DiDi (June 30, 2021). There were a few SPACs of self-driving technology companies, none of which have been notably successful. WeRide has revenue numbers that indicate that this is a real, high-scale business. The Chinese market is massive, but they are also operating in cities across South East Asia and the Middle East. This will be among the most highly anticipated S-1s for a long time. (should be a good windfall for backers like NVIDIA's Jeff Herbst (now at GFT), Sinovation Ventures (创新工场) Kai-Fu Lee, Qiming Venture Partners' Duane Kuang, Nautilus Venture Partners' Connie Sheng, Alliance Ventures' Matthieu de Chanville and others) https://lnkd.in/exUzD9Qb

A group of 14 self-driving tech companies have seen their combined valuation decline more than 80% since their public debuts, according to an analysis by Crunchbase in 2022. Chinese car tech firm iMotion and lidar maker Robosense have lost roughly 75% and 90% in stock market valuation in the six months since their listings in Hong Kong. The potential listings of PonyAV.ai and WeRide, two of the highest-valued AV startups in China, will set the tone for many other companies trying to go public with their future-shaping technology, even as it takes longer than expected to become widely available. Hyundai's rise from a budget carmaker to a global competitor with a reputation for quality is a fascinating story. A key element of this success, in my opinion, is their participation in top-tier motorsports. Competing at the highest level has transformed their brand image. Once viewed as an affordable but utilitarian option, Hyundai now sits alongside Toyota, Volkswagen, and Ford as a trusted provider of high-quality vehicles. Their commitment goes beyond participation. By establishing their WRC (World Rally Championship) design headquarters in Germany, they strategically positioned themselves to learn from the best. This investment paid off handsomely, with Hyundai securing multiple WRC titles. Hyundai's ambition doesn't stop there. Together with KIA, they've built one of the most accomplished electric vehicle lineups available today. So, it's OK to risk an investment than not know of a technology that could be game changer in the future. #Hyundai #KIA #innovation #Technology #Risk #EV #selfdriving

China’s autonomous vehicle startup WeRide seeks US IPO at $5B valuation WeRide, a Chinese autonomous vehicle company, is officially gearing up for a U.S. public debut, over a year after China started easing its effective ban of foreign IPOs. The company is seeking a valuation as high as $5.02 billion in its initial public offering. WeRide expects to raise about $96 million from its offering, or $111.3 million if its underwriters exercise their over-allotment option in full, assuming an IPO share price of $17 per American Depository Share (ADS). The company is offering 6.45 million ADSs at a price range of $15.50 and $18.50 per share, so it could even raise as much as $119.4 million in the IPO. On top of that, certain investors have already agreed to purchase shares worth $320.5 million in a concurrent private placement. For example, Alliance Ventures, the venture arm of the Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance, has agreed to buy $97 million worth of shares. Other investors include JSC International Investment Fund, Get Ride, and Beijing Minghong, according to a regulatory filing. The filing comes after Bloomberg reported that WeRide is seeking up to $400 million in its IPO and private placement, citing sources familiar with the matter. About $100 million of that would come from the IPO and around $200 million to $300 million in the placement. #News #US #investment #China #Startup

Hyundai Spending Nearly $1 Billion To Keep Self-Driving Startup 'Motional' Alive: An anonymous reader quotes a report from TechCrunch: Hyundai has agreed to spend nearly $1 billion on Motional, an investment that will give the automaker a majority stake while providing the self-driving startup with the necessary capital to keep operating. The Korean automaker invested $475 million directly into Motional as part of a broader deal that includes buying out joint venture partner Aptiv. As part of the deal, Hyundai will spend another $448 million to buy 11% of Aptiv's common equity interest in Motional, according to information revealed Thursday in Aptiv's first-quarter earnings report. Aptiv also shared that it expects to reduce its common equity interest in Motional from 50% as of March 31 to about 15%, leaving Hyundai with the remaining 85% control. Aptiv Chairman and CEO Kevin Clark flagged in January that the company would reduce its ownership interest in Motional. The company said at the time that it would stop allocating capital towards Motional due to the high cost of commercializing a robotaxi business and the long road ahead to profits. Aptiv on Thursday reduced its full-year net sales forecast for 2024 to be between $20.85 billion and $21.45 billion, down from between $21.3 billion to $21.9 billion. Motional confirmed the new funding round and increased stake from Hyundai, but didn't confirm Aptiv's numbers. Hyundai, however, said the amounts listed in Aptiv's earnings report were accurate. "Motional started as Boston-based autonomous vehicle startup nuTonomy in 2013, before being acquired by Delphi for $450 million," reports TechCrunch. "Delphi would later split it's business with the Aptiv unit absorbing nuTonomy. The entity became Motional under a $4 billion Hyundai-Aptiv joint venture in 2019." "While it's clear from Aptiv's earnings report that the company is trying to manage risks and optimize finances amid a less positive outlook, the company's retreat, and Hyundai's step forward, raises questions about Motional's future." Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda Steps Down After 14 transformative years as CEO, 66-year-old Akio Toyoda is stepping down from Toyota, citing his age as a barrier to connecting with younger consumers and emphasizing the need for fresh leadership to tackle future challenges. Toyoda, who earned respect by training as a race driver and participating in the 2009 24 Hours Nürburgring under the pseudonym Morizo Kinoshita, revamped Toyota from a conservative brand to a bold and trendy powerhouse, introducing iconic models like the GR Yaris and reviving the Toyota Supra.
