As a company that claims to care about animals, FreshPet should be aware that one of your board members, Olu Beck, also sits on the board of Denny’s—a company refusing to stop using gestation crates for pigs. It’s hard to trust in FreshPet’s commitment to animal welfare when there’s this link to such horrific factory farming practices.
Did you know one of your board members, Olu Beck, is also on the board of @dennysdiner? I'm pretty horrified to learn this cause Denny's has been refusing to adopt a policy banning the use of tiny metal cages to house pregnant pigs. In fact, their board recommended against it! It's troubling to know that you both share a board member with such different values for animals. ItsDinerTime.com
It’s troubling to hear that a member of your board, Olu Beck, is also a board member for Denny’s. They have been facing a nationwide animal cruelty scandal for refusing to ban the use of cages for pregnant pigs, something many other chains have done. I hope Ms. Beck opens her heart and encourages Denny’s to finally end this cruel practice.

FreshPet, how can we trust your commitment to animal welfare when Olu Beck, a member of your board, also sits on the board of Denny’s Diner, a company that still supports cruel gestation crates for pigs? These intelligent animals, much like dogs, endure unimaginable suffering.

2moFreshPet, knowing that one of your board members is also a board member for Denny’s is very upsetting. They have been ignoring public calls from improved animal welfare, particularly around the use of small metal cages for pigs. Pigs are just as sentient as dogs and deserve to live without suffering. I’m not sure I can ever buy your food knowing one of your board members is involved in a company like that.
