One of the principles at Green Rural Economy is to focus on addressing community problems rather than going in with a fixed solution. But often times, grassroots organisations working in landscapes face multi-dimensional challenges, some that are beyond their area of expertise. We believe that solutions exist far and wide, they need to be discoverable. That's why we initiated the GRE Clinics, a match-making of solution seekers with solution providers. https://bit.ly/3M8NqMB #greenruraleconomy #collaboration #sustainabledevelopment

Great article Brett Schwartz on the value of #partnerships, #collaboration, and #developmentdistricts. Thank you for providing real world examples of the true impact the Districts have on #economicdevelopment and #resiliency especially in the central states and #ruralcommunities. They illustrate the importance of tried and true funding for Public Works and Economic Adjustment Assistance or #PWEAA. https://lnkd.in/guUbts8k

Have Your Say: Community Vision Check in closes soon. In 2021, 3,000 Mornington Peninsula residents helped Councl shape the Community Vision about what you want the Peninsula to look like in 2040. The current seven guiding principles of the Community Vision that help shape our Peninsula based on the community feedback is: * Addressing climate change * Integrated public transport and accessibility infrastructure * Support an inclusive, connected and safe society * Innovative planning and development of the local economy * Encourage and expand education, sports and arts opportunities * Protect and enhance all elements of our natural land, sea and biodiverse environments * Plan and regulate responsible and innovative housing development. Do you still agree with these seven guiding principles? Is there is anything missing? Where would you like Council to focus its efforts.? Community feedback is important to help shape the vision and our next Council and Wellbeing, Finance and Asset Plans for 2025–2029, and guide the Shire's delivery of the Vision through the Council and Wellbeing Plan to be developed in the new Council term 2024-2028 I would encourage you to give us your thoughts at the link: Thanks https://lnkd.in/gJUZZzqS Need a bit more explanation about what the Vision is about?
