Important Point. There are normally three methods in waterGEMS or SewerGEMS for Assigning Demands(Loads). 1) Property Connection( SewerGEMS) and Customer Meter(WaterGEMS). This method is usually used for Planned Areas. 2) Theisssen Polygon. This method is usually used for large unplanned Urban Areas. 3) Unit Load(Count) Method. Ecoraster grids contain their gravel fill, eliminating migration and compaction and ensuring the area remains level, stable and universally accessible. Any type of granular fill can be used and we have seen projects with black granite chip, recycled red bricks and more. Ideally, the aggregate should be 1/4" clear and angular. The grids are available in different thicknesses and can support loads in excess 800t/m2 under extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. Ecoraster is German engineered for cold weather performance and can be easily cleared of snow by a snow plow or snow blower. What are those walls doing on a roof? Did you ever notice a roof with metal walls or fencing in middle of it & wonder what’s the purpose of it? It’s obviously not a fence or safety for the roof, it’s in the wrong spot for that. These barriers are to block passerby’s view of all the equipment (HVAC, exhaust etc… ) on the roof. For roofers they’re kind of a pain because all the extra penetrations they create into the roof. But they do make the roof & view look nicer when you don’t see all the bulky machinery. It can also be a zoning requirement, depending on where the property is. One aspect of naturalized waterway design that should NOT be overlooked is the effort and care it can take to establish healthy vegetation. Along first order streams in a semi-arid climate like this one it can take 3 to 5 years of reseeding and weed control before the site is self-sustaining. Here you're looking at an engineered riffle pool sequence that was built as the area around the stream urbanized, because the native stream couldn't handle the hydromodification.
