Shawn Wilson, Sales Manager, Mid-Atlantic Builder Division’s Post

Home buyers have real dreams and goals for their families, such as building wealth and family legacy, just as we do. I've discovered for many that buying their first home is a part of their long-term familial dream. Now, when they call us, many times home buyers may not initially express these dreams, after all, they are already placing themselves in a vulnerable place by calling a stranger that was found online or by way of referral from their Realtor, to whom they are asked to divulge their most personal and sensitive financial information. On top of that, if they have experienced a life event or multiple life events that have negatively impacted their credit profile, now they have to explain the details so we can ascertain if extenuating circumstances or financial mismanagement was at play. Slowly, this once vibrant dream of home ownership seems to be slipping away. Think for a moment, that's a tough spot to be in, wanting something that now seems impossible to achieve. Not so, if that homebuyer is talking to me. A key to success for me has been my intentional efforts toward developing a relationship first, above the transaction. Doing so raises the value of what I bring to the table in the heart of a homebuyer during the home-buying process - I'm interested in their hobbies, family activities, favorite trips, etc. Here is a key takeaway for you and what I live by: ***"I have one opportunity to control the conversation that home buyers and their real estate professionals will have about me, since they are going to talk about me away, I am the one to give them the words to use through how I engage them from the very first hello!"*** Here is one of my quotes, "Everybody Buys". With 16 years of experience under my belt, so many tools at my disposal, and current homeowners who started out challenged, taking someone "FromDreamToReality" is a way of life for me and my team. Think about it, the difference between someone being able to buy a home today and buying a home at some point in the future, is a plan. The plan that I help develop, therefore I'm confident in saying to every homebuyer and real estate professional I meet and work with: "Everybody Buys", You Got Next, period!!! https://lnkd.in/ejdAW6nq Seek to "Give More In Value, Than You Take In Price", "The Go-Giver", by Bob Burg (Author), John David Mann (Author) #FromDreamToRealityLive #firsttimehomebuyer #americanpacificmortgage #downpaymentassistance #
