It feels like for so many companies, the bigger they get, the less the left-hand knows what the right-hand is doing. At some companies it will run the value of the company into the ground. Like at Sears (and others that think and act like Sears). For Boeing it means potentially driving people into the ground. And yet it doesn't have to be this way. https://lnkd.in/giFTT-ja #boeing #boeing737max #boeingsafety

🎤 Organizational Keynote Speaker 🎤 |"Everyone's in Sales" ✔️ | Sales Mindset ✔️| Erasing the FEAR of Sales ✔️| 4x Author📚|
Words hold significant meaning, and true leaders are aware of this. As someone who has had a lifelong interest in aviation for a long time, being a former private pilot and Boeing enthusiast, change is needed immediately. The public's #trust in them is shattered. The Boeing disasters occurred due to the management's relentless focus on short-term profitability, sacrificing safety and the company's culture. The 737 should have been replaced, and the previous and current CEOs and their controlling boards lacked the insight and bravery to take the lead and dominate the market. They surrendered the narrow-body market to Airbus and have been playing catch-up ever since. The MAX was a poorly thought-out, knee-jerk reaction, and the company has been paying the price ever since. It was designed by skipping lots of steps, and we all learned how that story ended. Those colossal failures cost the company BILLIONS in settlements and deferred compensation to the airlines. And, yet, the CEO who took over was the same guy ( and board chair) who defended the last one. ( google "fox in the henhouse") Watching Calhoun's "apology" and "taking ownership" was carefully crafted and timed to cater to the stock price, and it was completely devoid of genuine leadership and accountability. They threw every employee on the manufacturing side under the bus and pinned the blame on them for unattainable production schedules and a relentless pursuit of profits. Boeing needs a complete overhaul of imagination and courage, and the current CEO, board, and COO have all disqualified themselves. The company needs to be saved from themselves. Yet, nothing will change as too much personal income is involved. Boeing's history was created by taking chances, like with the 707, challenging the market, and redefining how we travel. That was true leadership, and it always will be. It is all about maintaining a balance between courage, vision, and financial prudence. #leadership #saveboeing #wordsmatter #accountability #trust
After immediately grounding relevant MAX 9 planes last weekend, the FAA is now taking new and significant action to increase oversight of Boeing's production and manufacturing. These actions come on top of FAA's ongoing investigation to determine whether Boeing failed to ensure products conformed to their approved design, and in a condition for safe operation in compliance with regulations. https://lnkd.in/eEH5Ke6s

Valued Professional Contract Services for Aircraft Owners, Buyers, Sellers,Airlines, Lessors/Lessees, Lenders & Industry Partners
#boeing has come up with a “jack in the box” solution for their anti-quality culture: invite airlines into the manufacturing quality process during production. Wow, brilliant! Why didn’t I think of that? NOT. Unfortunately for Boeing, Lee Iacocca, the saviour CEO of Chrysler passed away in 2019. Short of leadership equal or better than Iacocca, Boeings future is perilously at risk. Ford turned their terrible quality issues around with a cultural shift based on implementing a total quality management program, clearly one that worked because it was top down. Robert Cox, an outspoken New York advertising executive helped Ford Motor Co. embrace the slogan “Quality is Job 1” David L. Calhoun, current CEO and former chairman of the board of Boeing fired his predecessor , he along with the entire Boeing board should resign based on endemic safety and quality failutes. These are not “quality escapes”. I reject the use of this term under the circumstances. This is abject quality failure. The C suite and biard members all appear to be stunned, incapable of understanding the problem and the solution which now is to make room for serious people who will convert the culture fully. That requires management and the board to pause the P&L focus in favour of the culture shift that when compmete will contribute to a P&L recovery and higher stock prices soon enough.

The sad thing is these aren’t the real Boeing clowns, the real Boeing clowns work at the company headquarters.

The negotiations between Boeing, Spirit AeroSystems, and Airbus underscore the complexities inherent in supply chain management, OEM partnerships, and strategic decision-making within the aerospace industry. Beyond pricing disputes, these discussions involve intricate regulatory considerations, as aerospace transactions often face scrutiny from global regulatory bodies. Additionally, ensuring supply chain resilience is paramount, especially in an industry where timely delivery and quality are non-negotiable. Companies must navigate contractual agreements while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing market dynamics. Fostering strong relationships with suppliers and regulators is essential for long-term success. By factoring in pricing disputes, regulatory compliance, and supply chain resilience, stakeholders can navigate negotiations effectively and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. #AerospaceNegotiations #SupplyChainManagement #RegulatoryCompliance #OEMPartnerships #StrategicDecisionMaking
