Inspiring kids to embrace philanthropy goes beyond leading by example; it's about embracing conversation!
According to findings from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, parents who actively chat with their children about charity significantly increase the likelihood of their little ones getting involved in acts of kindness.
While being a role model is crucial, the study highlights the importance of parents 1) diving into intentional discussions about charity, 2) sharing the causes they're passionate about, 3) how they contribute, and 4) the heartfelt reasons behind it all.
By infusing these conversations with warmth and making them a regular part of family life, parents can plant the seeds of generosity in their children, nurturing a deep and joyful understanding of the true value of giving.
Our non-profit partner, Generation SERVE is offering not only a way to give back, but also the resources to teach your kids about giving!
