Do I work as a UW partner because I love talking about gas and electricity? Heck no!! Don’t get me wrong, I love helping people reduce their bills, especially in these financially difficult times, but for me, UW is an investment in my future. Not to mention the incentives and perks! So many people are looking for an extra source of income to have that ‘plan B’ for the future and make life a bit more comfortable. Does this sound like something that would benefit you? Take a look at this short video to see other people like you and me building a better future for themselves. #mii #workfromhomejobs #worklifebalance #residualincome https://lnkd.in/eRzQgky2

As mentioned in my previous post, I am progressively introducing VT's foundational principles. Up next... Fulfill Your Calling. Many, if not most, people think of work as simply a form of income, and that's OK. Many think of it as drudgery, and that's sad. Over the course of the average American's life, they spend about 20% of their waking hours at a job. That is a significant chunk of one's conscious life to spend in meaninglessness. Our view is that work should matter. It should matter a lot. I like to use Michael Gerber's (Emyth) thoughts and envision working at VT like a dojo where the real battle is internal, challenging us to become our best selves. Many people want a place of work to be well-structured, with well-defined rules of engagement, which provide a stable foundation from which they may challenge themselves and others to reach new heights. Does that sound a little grandiose? Maybe it does. But I want to be with people who push the limits of themselves and their organization to achieve higher levels of excellence every day. There is nothing wrong with finding meaning outside work, collecting a paycheck, and enjoying retirement. But I don't want to work in a place that is going through the motions and devoid of meaning. I want my precious hours spent at work doing something that engages my mind, allows me to solve tough problems with great people, and do something that matters. I want to fulfill my calling in this venture. I aim to use my judgment, encouragement, instruction, management, and insight to create excellence while maintaining margin for my family and community. What is your calling? I will encourage everyone to find it and pursue it here every day. https://lnkd.in/gpD-aM4 https://lnkd.in/gcxvMuSj
Over the next several days, I will introduce the key tenets of the VT Vision progressively. Share your thoughts! First up... Love Others It might seem strange that the first line under a company’s purpose is to “love others.” On the contrary, I believe that it is vital to world-class business. In my worldview, “love” is not a fickle emotion. It is an accumulation of intentional acts that demonstrate one has another’s best interests at heart. Because of this perspective on love, customers, employees, vendors, lenders, and suppliers will be assured that we have their best interests at heart. We desire this relationship to work for their overwhelming benefit. We want them to be elated - not merely satisfied - that they do business with us because each interaction blesses them. As a business, VT must stay profitable to survive and grow to thrive. The dynamic of looking out for the simultaneous interests of all parties creates healthy tension. In it, we make decisions that globally maximize stakeholders’ long-term benefits. This is the hard work of management. As we do this, we can be genuinely collaborative because everyone understands that we are in a mutually beneficial, never-zero-sum game. We give when needed, take when we can, and look out for everyone. That is love. https://lnkd.in/gND_rhhv
