團結香港基金 Our Hong Kong Foundation and the Center for China and Globalization co-organised the “Rethink Hong Kong Forum: Hong Kong’s New Role as an International City under the New Normal” (the Forum) on 2 December.
In today's rapidly changing global arena, there are multifaceted challenges and opportunities. Hong Kong, as a "super-connector" and "super value-adder", has unique advantages and roles in many aspects, including systems, environments, and talent. The aims of the Forum were to identify strategies for achieving breakthroughs in a complex environment, to promote continuous exchange and collaboration between the East and the West, and to explore new opportunities under the policy framework of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, ASEAN, and all countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
Hon Sunny Tan, Chairman of the 香港生產力促進局, indicated that the Mainland has clearly conveyed new quality productive forces as the solution for future development. He mentioned that every single product has its supply chain and there must be continuous improvement through technological change and leapfrogging.

He regarded this as a stark reminder of the changing dynamics and situation, and Hong Kong must address to fulfil its role and maximise the unique advantage of "One Country, Two Systems".

Invest in highest quality of Chinese companies. The old time of punting on thematic small caps are gone.
China's 20th 3rd Plenum -- In the communiqué, Chinese leadership laid out high quality developments and deep reforms as the major targets for the next five years with focus on:
Innovation,
Urbanization,
Supply chain security,
New quality productivity,
Domestic demand expansion,
Macro policy consistency.
The comprehensive statement is likely to be released next week. I believe between now and end of July Politburo meeting is the potential window period for more easing rhetoric and measures.
China! 🇨🇳 …But China? 🤔 Some see it as the next big global economic leader, while others are a bit nervous about what that could mean. What do you think? 👀
~~~ See China and find innovation ~~~
Personally, I think the best way to understand a place is to go there and see it for yourself. ✈️ This wasn’t my first trip to China this year (lucky me!), but with the year wrapping up, I thought it’d be fun to share something a little less “LinkedIn-y” and more chill. 😎
So, grab a coffee ☕, kick back, and check out my clip for a quick break. Let me know what you think! 🗣️
If this post gets some love (aka likes 😜), I'll drop a post for my Singapore VLOG too! So don’t be shy—show some ❤️✨
