In Energinet we are well on the way developing the framework for a future #Hydrogen transmission backbone. We have an ongoing market dialogue ongoing which can be followed on the link at the bottom of the post. The latest addition is a paper (https://lnkd.in/dKgkjFzH) detailing our proposal for the balancing model for the hydrogen backbone in Denmark, and for this we are requesting views/oppinions now and until May 10th 2024. An award of almost $25m has been given to Port Houston and Linde. This grant will help the collaboration to build and operate a hydrogen station, which will be specifically designed to be heavy-duty and this station will be based in the Texan port. The discipline of balancing will be very important to a future hydrogen grid - which will be closely connected the electricity grid. We have published our first paper on this topic and we are eager for dialogue on this.

This is truly remarkable: Natural hydrogen is entering a new phase. Natural Hydrogen is now recognized as an important topic by the International Energy Agency's Hydrogen Technology Collaboration Program (https://lnkd.in/dJgrmm-H). The IEA H2TCP 97th ExCo Meeting in Vienna validated the creation of a TASK named "Natural Hydrogen". The TASK 49 brings together 31 experts representing 16 countries to act jointly on research and monitoring actions, and on proposals in the fields of research, exploration/production methods, evaluation of economic reserves, public policy, public acculturation, financing, infrastructures and environmental impacts.   https://lnkd.in/eg64hYEc
