GES and Provaris are to develop a new import facility in the Port of Rotterdam to improve energy efficiency & support the timely supply of #green hydrogen, which will see a multi-client, multi-product gaseous hydrogen import facility set up at the GES terminal at the port. The site will see the import of refrigerated #ammonia and compressed #hydrogen, with redeliveries into barges, rail, truck and the HyNetwork. Both parties equally believe Rotterdam is an excellent location for importing green hydrogen, providing an alternative to traditional chemical carriers in line with European #decarbonisation efforts. I like a lot Stegra videos. They are usually very informative and uses a non-technical language that helps spread concepts like producing Steel through Hydrogen-based Direct Reduction or EAF with Hydrogen. Also, here's a quick summary of the main hydrogen types: Green Hydrogen: Made from water electrolysis using renewable energy (zero emissions). Blue Hydrogen: Produced from natural gas with carbon capture (reduced emissions). Gray Hydrogen: Made from natural gas without carbon capture (significant emissions). Brown/Black Hydrogen: Produced from coal (high emissions). Pink Hydrogen: Generated via electrolysis using nuclear energy (low carbon). Turquoise Hydrogen: Made through methane pyrolysis, creating solid carbon as a byproduct. Yellow Hydrogen: Produced from electrolysis using a mix of solar and grid power. White Hydrogen: Naturally occurring geological hydrogen, not yet widely exploited. Each type varies in environmental impact based on its production method and energy source. Enjoy!
