I help founders bootstrap technical products & teams | Former: Head of Tech @Baton Technologies, Head of Technical Operations @Behance
The difference between an engineer and an engineering leader: An engineer works within the box, while an engineering leader works on the box. In this case, the ‘box’ is the people, processes, and systems that produce output. These two classes of work aren’t entirely mutually exclusive. Many engineers will create tools to improve consistency and help the team run smoothly. But when improving the system becomes your primary job? That's when you've become an engineering leader.

#Hiring DM me if you want to join the Electrolyte Filling Process team! What do you need? You are interested in changing the current status quo and supporting the transition to the electrification of mobility in Europe. You have a background in Mechanical or Industrial engineering with knowledge about Commissioning, Fluid Mechanics or Mechanical Design. Why do I think Electrolyte Filling is a playground for you, engineer? In cell production, Electrolyte Filling is the process step where we fill in the cell the media which will enable the “exchange” of ions in the cell. This process is core to the cell production and is surrounded by complex and exciting challenges: - The process is a black box and we are trying to shine some light into it. - You will be dealing with new equipment. This means a lot of issues that needs to be solved through corrections and redesign in collaboration with the design team and the supplier. - Process marks and Contamination are a no go, perfect chance to fine tune the process flow and reinvent the wheel with our cleaning systems. - Constantly developing the recipes, Electrolyte filling is the longest process within the Assembly discipline, big time if you like to reduce time waste to the limit. Why is Northvolt your company? We are an international team, from all places and backgrounds, together pushed by the same principles: we want to support in the transition to electrification in Europe, we might have been afraid of facing a new adventure but decided we wanted to anyways, and most importantly, we wanted to see the Northern lights and being paid for it. Personally, I think Northvolt is a place where you can develop yourself by carrying a fulfilling project, in a market where you are creating the solutions, with management support that enables you on the path to achieve the best possible outcome. All this while being surrounded by amazing people who will support and challenge you everyday. And possibly you will be working among friends, sharing all victories and failures.
