The impact of #AI coding assistants is profound in the way #IT operates. 📉 Will AI destroy jobs in this large industry? It is challenging to fully assess the net effect at this stage, but it is widely acknowledged that #Developer roles will undergo transformation due to the substantial #productivity gains achieved by leveraging AI assistants. Productivity Gains --> Shorter Development Cycles --> Devs have more time to spend with the "Business" (stakeholders, sponsors). As a consequence, job positions like Project Managers, BI etc.. which currently bridge the gap between the "Business" and the "IT" could be eclipsed. and Developers would #ShifLeft..
