Why We Need to Take the ‘Parent’ Out of Parenting. Yesss!! I am a parent too.. 2 almost the same age toddlers.. and I've seen it all. So let’s get real for a second. You don’t fully understand what it means to be a parent… until you become one. Before that? It’s all theories and cute baby pics. But when reality hits—when it’s 2 a.m. and you’re covered in spit-up—suddenly, it’s a whole different game. And here’s the kicker: if you’re not careful, you’re bringing your inner child—complete with unhealed trauma—right along for the ride. 😬 Yep, you’re playing the role of Parent, but it’s your unresolved stuff doing the talking. → The generational trauma you haven’t addressed? You’re passing it down. → Your own childhood wounds? They’re creeping into your parenting, whether you like it or not. So, what’s the solution? We need to take the parent out of the game. That means stepping back, healing ourselves first, and understanding that before we can guide our kids, we have to sort out our own inner mess. The Cautious Parent is close to my heart because I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to feel the pressure, the doubt, the weight of doing everything “right.” But here’s the thing: if we don’t heal ourselves first, we’re just recycling the same old wounds. → Lesson #1: Heal your inner child before you try to raise another. → Lesson #2: Parenting isn’t just about teaching kids. It’s about breaking cycles. → Lesson #3: You can’t pour from an empty cup, so start by filling yours. P.S. Stay tuned—The Cautious Parent is coming soon, and we’re going to dive into all the ways you can break those cycles and heal yourself first. Ready to take yourself out of the parenting game, so you can actually parent? Follow me so you can get first dibs when I launch The Cautious Parent. 🔁 If this resonates, hit repost or share it with a fellow parent who needs to hear this! ✨

Watch Full video on : https://lnkd.in/gKzGBmug Navigating Life After School: Self-Awareness, Stress, and Compassionate Parenting In this thoughtful discussion, we delve into the complexities of teenage life after school, focusing on the importance of self-awareness, understanding stress triggers, and recognizing the impact these have on both health and education. Teens often find themselves stuck in a cycle of pressure, and it's crucial to identify the consequences of stress on mental and physical well-being. We explore how practicing compassion—towards oneself and others—can break these cycles and promote growth. Additionally, we address the critical role of parenting in this stage of life. Parents must understand how their actions and control can impact their children, especially during this fragile period of self-discovery. Understanding, rather than controlling, is key. Teenagers need to feel seen and supported in a way that nurtures their unique path, without the weight of unrealistic expectations. This episode offers insights into how both teens and parents can navigate this transitional time with empathy, self-awareness, and open communication. "🟣 “My Toddler Keeps Hitting!!” How can I handle this? Hitting behavior in toddlers can be stressful, but positive guidance is key to helping them learn better behavior. 🧘♀️ First, stay calm. Kids mirror what they see, and your calmness will set the tone. ⚡ Identify the trigger—what’s causing the aggression? Is it hunger, tiredness, or frustration? 📍 Remove the child from the situation and give them a quiet space to calm down. 🔴 Don’t just say “No!” Label their emotions and validate how they feel. 🟢 Teach them: “Feeling frustrated is okay, but hitting is not.” This approach helps build trust and teaches better ways of managing emotions. #PositiveParenting #ToddlerBehavior #ParentingTips #EmotionalIntelligence #ChildDevelopment #GentleParenting #LeadershipInParenting"

🌈 Parenting Tip: Emotion Regulation in Kids 🧒👧 Parenting can be a rollercoaster, especially when it comes to helping our little ones navigate their emotions! 😅 Teaching children how to regulate their feelings is a crucial skill that sets the foundation for healthy emotional well-being. 🚀 Here are a few tips to foster emotion regulation in your kids: 1️⃣ Name those Emotions: Encourage your child to express what they're feeling. "Are you feeling happy, sad, or maybe a bit frustrated?" Identifying emotions is the first step to understanding and managing them. 2️⃣ Model Calmness: Kids learn by example! Show them how to handle stress and frustration calmly. Your composed reaction can be a powerful lesson in emotional regulation. 3️⃣ Empower with Choices: Give your child a sense of control by offering choices. For example, "Would you like to read a book or play outside to help you feel better?" It empowers them and provides a positive outlet. 4️⃣ Create a Safe Space: Establish a safe and open environment for your child to express themselves. Let them know it's okay to feel a wide range of emotions, and you're there to support them. Remember, it's a journey, not a destination! 🌟 #ParentingTips #EmotionRegulation #ChildDevelopment #ParentingJourney #PositiveParenting #EmpathyInAction
