Exposing my secret related to Google and websites. Making your website fast and easy to use is crucial, especially when you're selling furniture online. Google's Core Web Vitals are key measures that help you see how well your website is doing. Here’s a quick breakdown: What to Watch for: Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): This checks how fast the main part of your page loads. For a great customer experience, aim for this to happen in less than 2.5 seconds. Interaction to Next Paint (INP): This measures how quickly your website responds when someone clicks something. Try to keep this under 200 milliseconds. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS): This makes sure your website doesn’t shift around as it loads, which can be annoying. You want this score to be below 0.1. Why It Matters: If your website loads quickly and works smoothly, customers are more likely to enjoy shopping and come back. Google likes this too and will show your website to more people if it performs well. Tools to Help You: Google Search Console: This tool shows you how well your pages are doing and where you can make improvements. Guides and Resources: Google offers guides that explain how to check and improve your website's performance. Improving these areas can make a big difference in attracting more customers and selling more furniture. Check out Google’s guide to learn more about how these measurements work. Struggling with low website conversions? No one buying from you? Let's talk about it. There are many reason why your website isn't bringing you new enquiries or more sales. Below I'll give you a few reasons and tips to improve your site. 1. Slow load times - you might be using high resolution images which will slow down your site. Use TinyPNG to compress the files (makes them smaller) and use these new resized files. 2. Confusing navigation. Your menu should be easy and simple. For example: Home / About / Services / Shop / Contact. If you have a shop use a filter to help your potential clients find the item. 3. Lack of clear calls to action. You might not be telling your potential clients what to do or where to go. Use the same button style across your site, link pages via these and make sure it's clear how to shop or enquire. 4. Got a shop? For the love of god make it easy for people to buy! You'd be surprised how lacking this is. You can feature best sellers, new products, have a clearance page. You should also ensure your product images are spot on! 5. Don't have a million paragraphs, keep it simple. Tell them who you are, what you do, who you help and how to buy.
