The #jewelry industry has always heavily relied on fairs and trade shows. The recent OROAREZZO - ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP registered a significant increase in the attendance of visitors: - overall +5% - foreing visitors +14% - visitors from 109 different countries In order to get the best benefits of such face-to-face events exhibitors strongly need an integration with the available #digitaltransformation tools. This is even more true for small and medium enterprises (#smes). The #madeinitaly is still a strong asset but it need to be exploited with an integrated strategic approach. Do you wish more details? Please DM me for a first assessment. #jewellery #sme #luxurygoods

🌟 Swiss Day: Honoring Precision and Authenticity 🌟 Swiss watches are globally admired for their luxury and precision, representing centuries of exceptional craftsmanship. However, this legacy is increasingly threatened by counterfeit 'Swiss' watches. In 2018 alone, these fakes reached a staggering CHF 3.35 billion in market value. Source: OECD (2021), Counterfeiting, Piracy and the Swiss Economy, Illicit Trade, OECD Publishing, Paris, https://lnkd.in/gTavGU4d On this Swiss Day, let's recognize the dedication behind these iconic timepieces and the urgent need to protect their authenticity. If you're thinking about buying a Swiss watch, don't just consider the current time but also its future value and the importance of preserving genuine Swiss watchmaking. #Bosch #Origify #ProductAuthentication #SwissDay #LuxuryWatch

Dean School of Economics and Business Studies University Lusíada (campus Porto and campus Famalicão) - Founder GFC - Global Fashion Conference
Fashion is everywhere. In the cultural work from dance, theater and cinema there is no way you leave Fashion out! For young professionals that's a thought, jobs are not restricted to Fashion companies. This is why in the second edition of the Global Fashion Conference we had a Round Table with the people from Teatro Nacional São João and why I enjoyed the extremely well done exhibition at V&A "HOLLYWOOD" where the construction of characters through clothing and accesories was explored with many real examples, should I say case studies? #Fashion&Culture #Isem
Today is International Dance Day, an artistic discipline that sometimes intersects with Fashion, such as in Merina. Recently represented at Museo Universidad de Navarra and created, directed, and produced by OTEYZA: “Traditional fashion shows are giving way to more innovative ways of presenting art and creativity”. Merina is a cross-disciplinary experience that blends music, dance, art, and avant-garde in a unique way. It immerses us in the fascinating world of the origin of Merino wool, exploring how craftsmanship transforms into art. #InternationalDanceDay #DíaInternacionalDeLaDanza

DAR Cultural Agency x Centraal Museum In 12 days from now the exhibition MOḌA - Moroccan Fashion Statements will open. MOḌA' is the result of a close collaboration between Centraal Musuem and DAR Cultural Agency. We believe in creating space for different perspectives, one of the ways to do that is to start with listening and opening up the conversation. And that has also been the fundamental in creating MOḌA. Co-curators Ninke Bloemberg (fashion curator Centraal Museum) and Zineb Seghrouchni (creative director DAR Cultural Agency) created MOḌA through conversation: curating by conversation. Activating the collective intelligence, memories and visions through conversations with a lot of different people. To show that the one-sided understanding of fashion is a thing of the past. As in the Western world, fashion has traditionally been associated with progress and innovation. For many years, it was therefore seen in direct opposition to non-Western clothing, which is often associated with traditions and crafts. In MOḌA—Moroccan Fashion Statements, curators Ninke and Zineb show that this one-sided understanding of fashion is a thing of the past. MODA brought together more than forty game changers from Morocco and the Moroccan diaspora in the Netherlands: they redefine fashion, each from a unique perspective but connected by their relationship to fashion, the creative process and Morocco. #moda #mode #fashion #darculturalagency #centraalmuseum #utrecht

For much of the past two decades, Europe's luxury market has counted on the ferocious appetite of Chinese consumers to bolster its bottom line. But foreign luxury brands are facing a reckoning in China. Not only is China’s economy entering a more uncertain phase, giving consumers pause, but homegrown designers and labels are also gaining ground. The questions now are which European brands can still rely on China, and how China's domestic designers can capture a share of the pie. In my latest story for The Wire China: https://lnkd.in/eX74PhCY

Business development and marketing for architects, to impact more people, places and the planet | Online CPD Course | 1:1 Consulting | Marketing Mentor sessions
Did you know that I used to work at Twentieth Century Fox Films, in London? I worked in the European Marketing Office (for two years, back in the 1990s!) and while I was there, we launched the biggest grossing film of all time (at that time) - Titanic, which was the first film to earn more than $1bn globally at the box office. The job was as glamorous as it sounds: we went to premieres with stars and royals, watched new Fox releases during the day, and we'd talk about films all day long. As an avid movie goer, it really was my dream job! One of the best things was watching all the new films before they came out, because all of the distributors would swap new releases on Wednesday nights for staff screenings (and they were actual films, back then, in canisters, that got transported around Soho by couriers. So much has changed in terms of technology and how people consume content.) I've started watching weekly movies again - I'm having a movie afternoon on Sundays - and last weekend I watched "Mrs Harris goes to Paris"... Have you seen it? It was so enjoyable on several levels: as well as being transported to the city of light, and swept away by high fashion, I had a lightbulb moment about how architecture is like the House of Dior. Stay with me here! In 1957, Christian Dior's already iconic haute couture brand was struggling to survive. There weren't enough clients to support the hugely labour intensive business model. Then along comes Mrs Harris - a cleaning lady from London - with a literal bag of cash to spend on a one-off dress. (Who wouldn't love a few more Mrs Harris clients?!). In her week at the atelier, she realised what the house needed and pushed the accountant to step forward with his big idea to save the business: introduce ready-to-wear. (Yes, I'm aware that this is a movie, and I've fully suspended my disbelief!) It turns out that Dior did introduce pret-a-porter (aka ready-to-wear) in 1967, and today the brand continues to offer both: 💃the super-luxury, reserved for a few custom offering, and 👗the slightly more affordable off-the-shelf offering. The "high" offering informs the "low" offering, and drives the demand for the more accessible product. That's what architecture needs to do, to remain relevant AND address some of society's greatest challenges (climate emergency; housing crisis; diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging). This transformation won't be easy, but it will be worthwhile. Are you ready to make the switch from haute couture only, to haute couture AND pret-a-porter? #mrsharrisgoestoparis #movieinspiration #affordablearchitecture #architectureisforeveryone #architecture #architects https://lnkd.in/gRWUnhE2
