I don't pretend to understand the British honours system, but I know what feels right...
A man who runs a chain of pubs gets knighted and these 2 a CBE each. 🤔
Yes, the publican has given 1000s of people jobs and speaks his mind. But for as long as I can remember these two have brought joy, dedication, fight, awe and wonder...role models for millions during their rugby days and after.
Even in the toughest times Rob Burrow and his family shows selflessness and Kevin Sinfield fights for those who need it most.
Pints or people.
Which deserves a knighthood?
⚽️🩼 Recently, Josh sat down with Rising Ballers to share his story about coming through the Arsenal academy, facing tough decisions, and ultimately choosing to leave the club for Brentford when they were still in the Championship.
That decision wasn’t easy. Imagine being offered a new contract by Arsenal, a club you’ve been with for 10 years, but feeling that your future lies elsewhere. It took incredible courage and clarity to make the move to Brentford, a decision that’s proven to be a key moment in his career, as we all know where Brentford are now. But what stood out in Josh’s interview was how important it was to have a solid support system around him—family, close friends, and mentors who truly had his best interest at heart.
Josh’s journey is a reminder that we all need people in our corner, especially when faced with life-changing decisions. Surround yourself with those who uplift you, offer wisdom, and support your dreams, even if it means making the tough calls!
Josh also opened up about dealing with multiple long-term injuries. It’s one of the hardest things an athlete can go through, physically and mentally. There were moments where the setbacks seemed never-ending, but Josh’s resilience never wavered. Through it all, he leaned on his support system and found strength in talking to the people closest to him. It’s easy to feel alone in tough times, but speaking up and sharing the burden can make all the difference.
And lastly, through every challenge, Josh has held onto his faith. There’s something powerful in trusting God’s plan, even when the path feels uncertain. Believing that every step, even the difficult ones, serves a purpose has helped him stay grounded and motivated.
Josh’s story is bigger than football. It’s about having faith, staying grounded, and knowing that with the right people around you, you can overcome any obstacle and make the right choices for your future. 💪🏽

Clyde Martin was a notable figure in the history of golf, particularly during a time when racial segregation was prevalent. In 1939, Clyde Martin achieved a groundbreaking milestone by being named the head professional at the segregated Langston Golf Course in Washington, D.C. At that time, Langston Golf Course served as a designated facility for African-American golfers due to the segregation policies of the era.
Despite the challenges of racial segregation, Clyde Martin excelled in his role as head professional, showcasing his skills and expertise in the sport. His appointment at Langston Golf Course was a significant achievement, as it provided opportunities for African-American golfers to access quality instruction and facilities.
Troon and its affiliates currently manages the Langston Golf Course, a National Links Trust facility. Established as a designated facility for African-American golfers, Langston became a symbol of progress and equality in the world of golf. It provided a platform for individuals to come together, share their passion for the sport, and contribute to the rich tapestry of the golfing community in the nation's capital.
Langston Golf Course's commitment to openness and inclusivity made it a unique and vital institution. It not only offered a place for golf enthusiasts to hone their skills but also became a hub for community engagement and camaraderie. The course's history reflects a resilience against racial barriers, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose among its diverse patrons.

Rising Together: Forging Unity in the Fencing Industry
In the fencing world, true strength lies in unity. The wise words of Joe Everest echo our mission: "𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨."
We must elevate each other, raise our standards, and navigate challenges together.
Yet criticism is inevitable, even from within our ranks. We are not adversaries but allies bound by passion. When one falters, we all stumble. But when united, our collective strength defies any obstacle.
I've faced doubt and discouragement, but clarity shows these are merely hurdles for growth. This realization fuels my commitment to fostering unwavering support and camaraderie.
My fellow fencers, will you join me in forging an unbreakable bond?
Celebrate triumphs, learn from failures, for our greatest strength is solidarity. Together, we are unstoppable.
Who's willing to rise with me and elevate our industry to new heights?
