Lessons from the Operating Room to the Boardroom! Having watched countless medical dramas like George Clooney’s ER, Grey’s Anatomy, Dr. HOUSE, The Good Doctor, and New Amsterdam, I've seen my fair share of operating tables and some rather graphic procedures. I've also been on the operating table twice myself—once to get my appendix removed and then to bring T Junior into the world. But none of my OR experiences, real or fictional, prepared me for a fascinating fact I stumbled upon recently. Did you ever notice that operating rooms are windowless and devoid of natural light? So most complex surgeries are performed in dimly lit rooms, and yet surgeons' fingers deftly move to fix patients' insides or outsides without a shadow ever being cast by the surgical lights. How is this possible? Surgical lights work by using multiple light sources arranged in a circular pattern. Each light source emits beams from different angles, overlapping to create a uniform and shadow-free illumination. When an object, such as a surgeon’s hand, blocks one of the beams, the remaining beams continue to light the area, effectively preventing shadows from forming. This ingenious design ensures surgeons have a consistently well-lit view, crucial for precision and safety during procedures. This principle of overlapping light sources to eliminate shadows got me thinking about how we approach our business stories. Just like surgical lights, we need multiple sources to create a rich, well-structured narrative free from doubt or bias. There shouldn’t be a single source of truth when we curate our pitches. We must investigate various aspects, integrating diverse perspectives to craft stories that are comprehensive and compelling. ✨ Let's aim to illuminate every angle of our stories, ensuring clarity, precision, and engagement. In doing so, we can make sure our narratives shine brightly, guiding our audiences to clear and informed decisions. #Innovation #Storytelling #Business #Leadership #Teamwork #Collaboration #Precision

Do you know why most medical scrubs are blue or green? Originally, medical professionals wore white - symbolizing cleanliness. But it had its drawbacks, like causing eye strain in brightly lit operating rooms and showing stains easily. Around the 1970s, blue and green became standard in operating rooms. Why? These colors are on the opposite end of the color spectrum, reducing eye fatigue and making it easier for surgeons to see. Fast forward to today, personal expression shouldn’t take a backseat, even in healthcare. Studies show that colors can influence mood and perception. For instance, a study from the University of Texas found that certain colors could decrease stress and anxiety in patients and staff. Why did Knya opt for new scrub colors? - We identified an unmet need of doctors seeking innovative medical apparel empowered by technology and color science. - Knya’s scrubs go much beyond aesthetics. Every color is tested in medical environments before being included in our portfolio. - Healthcare is universal, and so should be the choices we offer. - Colors allow medical professionals to express their distinct personalities within a highly stressful workspace. - We believe a splash of color can uplift spirits. Brighter, varied hues can transform the atmosphere of healthcare settings, making them more welcoming and less intimidating. - Knya scrubs aim to marry style with comfort and practicality, with more options in colors, we are doing exactly that to empower our healthcare professionals. If you could choose, what color scrubs would you wear and why? #Healthcare #MedicalApparel #PersonalizationInHealthcare
