What if Lean mince? A) "Visual lean" in minced beef refers to the estimated percentage of lean meat versus fat, determined visually without precise measurement. It represents the ratio of muscle (lean) to fat in ground beef. For example, "90% visual lean" means the beef appears to contain 90% lean meat and 10% fat based on its appearance. Lean minced beef typically looks redder and more uniform in texture, with fewer visible white or pale streaks of fat. The leaner the beef, the more solid and red it will appear, whereas fattier beef has more visible white or yellowish fat marbling.
