340 m² of glulam columns and beams, CLT floor slabs, lightweight timber façades, designed to show what the future of construction could look like: “Build-in-Wood Demonstrator” is the living laboratory to test the promises of the European Build-in-Wood project and of its 21 partners, including Rothoblaas. Is it true that a modular and technological building made of engineered timber offers exceptional performance in terms of durability, insulation, versatility and also sustainability? The answer, even if we think we already know it, will come from the data collected by the Demonstrator's "digital twin", which is equipped with sensors to monitor parameters such as moisture content. The system will enable predictive maintenance while generating data to evaluate the effects of technical changes on building performance.
