One thing we're never gonna have? An undecorated office! Leeds Pride 2024 is upon us and we're so excited to see the festivities that this weekend brings😁 Leeds Pride is one of the biggest one-day festivals in Leeds City Centre! It has undoubtedly become a huge contributor to the local economy with over 70,000 choosing to visit last year, and attendance numbers growing every year! But for now, we're going to kick off the weekend with some hockey... wish us luck (and no injuries, ideally)!

If you live in San Antonio, please take this online survey on how to improve San Pedro Park or give your feedback starting at 9am at the park this Saturday. Thanks to Sukh Kaur, Ed.D. for helping organize! Here is what I’d love to see: 1) vendor / restaurant users to provide a great place to eat and have a drink while also providing “eyes on the park” that will make the park much safer and more attractive 2) a much longer pool season and a splash pad for kids, ideally near the vendor spaces 3) convert some of the tennis courts to pickle ball courts -- still need a lot of tennis courts for tournaments, but pickle ball would attract a lot of new park users and put even more "eyes on the park" 4) community concerts and theatre performances in the park 5) more shade trees https://lnkd.in/gYmf_FZB #sanantonio #parks #district1

I help sports clubs to succeed with customised sports tours in Spain | Unique experiences that combine competition and culture.
Organisation of youth football tours before: - Focused solely on competition. - Little or no cultural interaction. - Standard logistics and accommodation without considering the specific needs of the teams. Organising youth football tours now: - Balance between competition, personal development and cultural experience. - Deep immersion in local culture with activities that go beyond football. - Full customisation of logistics and accommodation to suit each team, enhancing the overall experience. Stop organising sports trips as before. Start creating complete experiences that build players and people. Conclusion: The world of youth football tours has evolved significantly. Now, the goal is not only to compete, but also to enrich young people with cultural and personal development experiences. It is vital to upgrade and offer these comprehensive tours to truly impact the lives of young athletes.

More evidence suggesting a complete lack of due process in political decision making is likely to get in the way of achieving the best short and long term outcome for our city.
A witness called to last week’s Senate inquiry into Olympic Games preparedness may well have blown up the state government’s rationale for its contentious stadium selection for Brisbane 2032.

Do you know who Dick Fosbury was? (No tittering in the back there). I actually did, and I was interested to note his obituary in the Telegraph just over 6 months ago, because I didn't realise his impact on his field of expertise. I shall explain. Dick Fosbury was a high jumper who practically transformed the sport of high jumping overnight with his technique which became known as the Fosbury Flop. Every school child who was taught athletics will have started with the scissors kick, and then once you go over about 1.20m, you had to evolve to the Fosbury Flop. Whilst moonlighting from discus throwing where my dad was a NI national coach, I did a bit of high jumping and was beseeched by the legendary Maeve Kyle to grab that imaginary bag of gold which was apparently hanging just in front of and above the bar. This apparently gave one the lift required to segue into the Fosbury Flop. I tended to miss the gold, but collect the bar. Anyway, my point is this. Fosbury won gold in the 1968 Mexico Olympics with his unique technique. At the next Olympics in 1972, 28 out of 40 competitors were using the Fosbury Flop. The current world record by Sotomayor of 2.45m was achieved using the Fosbury Flop. Overnight, one person changed an entire sporting event forever. It's happened in other arenas too, and when I see this sort of transformation, it does give me hope that I can make a similar impact with how people experience the house moving process in Northern Ireland. I'm currently re-rewriting not just our online fee quote system, but I'm breaking down the whole journey of how the potential client becomes an actual client, and I think I have a fairly unique and innovative system - on paper. What I do know is that people looked at Dick Fosbury and thought he was a lunatic whose technique would encourage high jumpers to break their necks. They were wrong. So too must all of us who want to change our industries ignore the naysayers, and reach for that bag of gold. We also learnt the Western Roll just for the craic. #innovation #legaltech #movinghouse #northernireland #conveyancing https://lnkd.in/eXDrhy_i

With the Casement Park redevelopment still to be confirmed, can Northern Ireland afford to miss out on this opportunity that would not only boost the construction industry here, but also have a lasting effect on the country. Grant Thornton analysis said it takes a more “prudent view” on the potential economic boost from hosting five games at a newly developed Casement Park. That would equate to £52m spent on accommodation and a further £54m spent across retail and hospitality. The report said the economic impact of the whole tournament, all 51 games across the UK and Ireland, is calculated at £2.6bn. On a pro-rata basis, Northern Ireland’s five games would equate to £255m of an economic impact. It also said the stadium has the potential to create a further economic boost worth tens of millions of pounds each year through the hosting of sporting fixtures and concerts. Hosting Euros 'could bring more than £100m to NI'
Casement Park Euro 2028 matches 'could bring £106m' to NI

The video linked below is an example of exceptional messaging for a private club. They nail both the emotional and value of joining a club, and demonstrate how their resources and facilities support their values and mission. The ability to clearly communicate your vision is not a panacea, but it provides a NORTH STAR for your staff and attracts consumers who believe what you believe.
